The boy and the ghost of misfortune

38 4 2

He was lost

On the sea

Of exhaust

They found him

Covered in frost

Unbeknownst

To them

He wandered into the forest

And found the Ghost,

Of Misfortune

And with utmost respect

The boy said

"I know you are the Ghost,

Of Misfortune, which

Is why I plea to thou.

I have seen too much misfortune

In this life of mine."

And with a flick of the wrist

He barged into the boy's mind

To the ghost's surprise

The boy was right

His life was sprinkled

With misfortune

Everywhere.

The ghost let out a sigh

And sent him back

To the humans

Just this time, there was no

Misfortune in the boy's life

For years to come.
