A devastating blow
Shot down cold
He asked nicely
She harshly said no
Oh what a mighty blow
Frozen
Unsure of what to do
She pointed and laughed
How daft she said
Tears fell
She faltered
She belied him all these years
How could he have even loved her
She turned away from him
And walked off
Tears in her eyes too
Because she was forced to put on this show
