Hayes~
I walked into my new dorm. I got accepted to Harvard, the school I promised myself that I would be accepted to ever since Eliza left.
A lot has changed since then; I put my hair in a quiff now and I got blonde highlights.
I still miss her, more than anything. I still have the picture of us at the beach when we were 13 in my wallet.
Her birthday is also next week. When she left it was the day before her birthday, so we never got to celebrate it together.
I unpacked my stuff and decided to tour the campus. As I was walking, I spotted the most beautiful girl I had ever seen, other than Eliza, and she looked lost, so I decided to go help her.
“You seem lost, need any help?” The girl looked up and blushed.
Just like Eliza used to.
“Uh, yeah, can you tell me where dorm 429 is?” I was shocked.
For one, she sounded exactly like Eliza, but she had a slight Irish accent.
Eliza moved to Ireland…
And second, 429n is my dorm.
“Yeah, that’s actually my dorm; would you like me to show you the way?”
She nodded and smiled, “sure.”
When we got to the dorm she dropped her phone and it turned on. I looked at the lock screen and saw the same picture of Eliza and I that I kept in my wallet.
Then in hit me, standing right in front of me was Eliza Henry. The love of my life, the one I slapped, the one that left because of me, the one I never really stopped loving.
Memories started rushing back into my head.
I remembered when she flipped out when she woke up the first time i met her. She was wearing a Hayes Grier sweatshirt and she was the most beautiful person I had ever seen in my life.
And here she is.
Right in front of me,
I wanted to hold her like I used to, but I knew I still couldn’t.
Now was my chance to get her back.
