Eliza~

While we were playing truth or dare my phone rang.  I took a few seconds to find it before I picked up, “Hello?”

“Uh, hey Eliza, it’s Shawn.”

Shawn?  How’d he got my number?

“Uh, hi.  How’d you get my number?”

“I got it from Nash because I wanted to apologize…”  He trailed off.

“Uh, apologize for what?”

“You’re gonna hate me for this, but when you and Hayes were together I had a huge crush on you and I thought if I broke you guys up you could be mine…so I tweeted that I saw you cheating to break you guys up.  I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean for any of the other stuff to happen.  Can you ever forgive me?”

“No,” I said simply and hung up.  I blocked his number and walked back to the bedroom thingy and saw Hayes asleep in his bed so I decided to go to sleep, too.

When I woke up Hayes was still asleep so I decided to make breakfast.  I made 12 pancakes and put 6 on each plate.  I put syrup on mine and just as I sat down to eat Hayes woke up and walked over.  “Yes!  I always loved your pancakes!”  I laughed and handed him his plate, “syrup is over there.”  He nodded and walked over to the syrup and put it on.

“Hey I’m going to the gym today, wanna come?”  He asked me and I nodded, “sure, when are we going?” I asked and he thought for a minute, “whenever you’re ready,”  I nodded.

After breakfast I remembered the phone call from Shawn.  “Hey Hayes, you remember Shawn?”  His eyes went cold, “What about him?”  He replied bitterly.  “Well apparently he got my number form Nash because he called me last night.”  He looked hurt, “What did he say?”

“He said he was the one who sent that tweet and asked if I could ever forgive him.”  He was staring at me, “Did you forgive him?”  I laughed bitterly, “no.”

He smiled, but it quickly faded, “He told me the night you left and I told him to rot in hell, and then I never saw him again.”  He chuckled lightly and so did I.

About an hour later we left for the gym.  When we got there I got on the treadmill and Hayes lifted weights.  After a while we switched and did other workout stuff before going back to the dorm.

When we got back we were jumping on our beds and laughing.  After we stopped laughing and jumping Hayes said, “So your birthday is in 2 days huh?  You’ll be 17, right?”  I blushed and nodded.  “You remembered?”  He blushed, too, “Yeah, you left the day before your birthday…”  He trailed off sadly and I nodded slowly, “yeah I know.  You know I always regretted leaving.”

“Then why didn’t you come back?”  I shook my head sadly, “I was afraid you had moved on.”

He looked shocked and hurt, “I never moved on.”  His voice sounded so sad.

“Neither did I,”  Mine did too.

All of a sudden my phone rang.  I looked at the caller ID and saw it was Jake so I answered, “Whazzup big brother?”  I could hear him laugh and he said, “Just calling my little sis to see how college is going.”  I nodded and said, “It’s going good, but I gotta go, I’ll call you tomorrow.”  He replied, “Ok, love you, bye.”  “Love you too, bye.”  I hung up and turned my phone off.

“So you’re going somewhere?”  Hayes asked and I laughed, “No, I just didn’t feel like talking to him right now.”

He laughed and shook his head, “Good one.”  I smiled and turned on the radio and ‘I’m The Man’ came on.

We started dancing and singing, “I’m the man, I’m the man, I’m the man!  Yes I am, yes I am, yes I am!  I’m the man, I’m the man, I’m the man!”

When the song ended I said, “That’s my favorite song, other than All of Me.”  Hayes smiled and said, “Good to know…”

After watching TV for a couple hours we fell asleep on the couch together.
