“ELIZA NO!!!” I yelled as her body went limp and she collapsed into my arms.
She jumped in front of me.
She saved me.
The police showed up and took Shawn away and an ambulance took Eliza away. I looked down at my torn shirt and saw her blood everywhere.
He shot her.
I felt a pair of arms pick me up off the ground and realized it was Will. He put me in his car and Nash got in and we sped off to the hospital.
He shot her.
When we got there we went up to the desk and the nurse lady said to wait in the waiting room until doctors stabilized her. It felt like the longest wait ever. I paced around the waiting room for what seemed like an eternity until a doctor came out.
“Are you Mr. Hayes Grier?” I nodded, “Yes, how is she?” He sighed, “Maybe its better if we do this in my office, bring the others, too.”
We all walked back into the doctor’s office and he began to talk, “I have good news and bad news. The good news is the bullet missed her vital organs by centimeters.” I let out a sigh of relief, but the doctor continued, “But the bad news is it hit a major artery and she is in critical condition. She lost a lot of blood and she is currently in a coma.” What?! COMA?! “Will she ever wake up?” Nash asked, his voice full of concern and tears in his eyes.
The doctor shook his head slowly and sighed, “We don’t know.”
