I sat in the waiting room for what seemed like forever until I decided to walk back to Hayes's room. I was surprised to see him awake and hugging Eliza.
When he noticed me he glared at me. "What do you want now?"
"I just wanted to apologize for-" Eliza cut me off. "You said you didn't want to be involved. Get out. Now." I looked at Hayes and he just shook his head at me. "I'm sorry us idiots can't stay out of trouble. I'm sorry she calls you every time something goes wrong because she thinks you would want to know if I'm dead or in a coma. I'm sorry for thinking you actually cared whether either of us were dead or not."
"Hayes I didn't mean it like that." He glared at me again, "yes you did. Don't try to lie your way out of it. Now do us all a favor and go back to your family."
I walked out of the room and ran out if the hospital.
I'm so disgusted with myself.
And I am so so sorry.
