Chapter 19

- You -

I woke up to a knock on my door. "(Y/N), your friend is downstairs." eomma whispered with a laughing tone through the keyhole. I mumbled things that weren't even real words and got up.

It was probably GD again, but why would he be here at 7:45 am?

I walked downstairs and opened the doors, shielding my eyes from the bright sunlight. "Hey, GD." I grumbled, turning around and yawning. "I think you have the wrong person." a male voice said.

I opened my eyes quickly as I recognized the voice I loved so much. Luhan, my knight in shining armor, was standing in front of me with a vibrant smile. And behind him was little Xiumin, who was standing there as cute as ever. Luhan pulled me into a tight embrace when I was too shocked to respond.

"I promised you, didn't I?" he chuckled.

"B-But..." I choked out, still trying tk find the words to say. "Just don't say anything,  (Y/N), and hug me."

I raised my arms and wrapped it around his back, burying my face into his chest. "I'm so sorry, Luhan. I was overreacting when I texted you and I was going crazy." I explained, several different thoughts racing through my mind at the same time.

"I understand. I don't think that you meant any of it. I've known you for years; I can see right through, even through a text." he whispered into my hair. I nodded slowly and continued embracing him until a throat was cleared behind Luhan, and it was definitely not Xiumin.

I pulled away and stared over Luhan's shoulder. "GD, hey!" I exclaimed. "Um...hi." he said awkwardly. Luhan whipped around with a surprised look on his face. "Ji-Yong?" he gasped. "Wait, Luhan?" GD asked in reply.

"You guys know each other?"

"Yeah, we were classmates!" Luhan laughed as he patted GD on the shoulder. "And by the way, I go by 'GD' now. I'm a rapper, or soon - to - be rapper." he explained to Luhan. "Well, that saved a lot of time." I shrugged.

"Guys, I'm still here, you know." a quiet voice said behind GD. "Oh, Xiumin, I'll help you bring the bags up to your room. You and Luhan are welcome to stay, I'm sure my aunt won't mind." I said, but then stopped.

"Actually, she would mind, but I won't listen to her." I mumbled and grabbed Luhan's bag. "No, (Y/N), I'll bring it up." Luhan insisted. I shook my head and stole it from his hand. "You guys have a lot to catch up on." I said with a stern tone, and walked up the stairs with Xiumin.

I plopped it onto their beds and I sat down with Xiumin on the floor. "So...nice to see you again." he whispered. I nodded and looked around the room, trying to avoid hid gaze. "(Y/N), I need to tell you something important. It's about Luhan."

I slowly looked at him at the mention of Luhan. "What is it?" I questioned.

"He really cares about you. So much that he practically devoted himself to fixing your relationship. But..." he trailed. I raised an eyebrow anxiously for him to go on.

"Today was supposed to be our debut."

"Wait, so that means -" I gasped and my eyes widened. I felt terrible. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" I apologized, bowing repeatedly because I felt so guilty.

"Don't worry, Luhan and I are performing here. But do you realize how much he loves you? He's willing to forget his career for a moment and focus on you. You're his everything."

My face softened at the thought of Luhan going through so much just to get to me. "I...I don't know what to say." I said in a whisper. "Just spend time with him while he's still here. Make him happy so he can do what he came here to do. He couldn't last another minute without you, so please be the same way. I don't want to see either of you hurt, especially at such a critical time in our lives." he commanded gently.

I nodded once more and got up, as did he. I hugged and thanked him. He was unexpectedly wise, so I knew I found somebody else that's reliable enough to talk to.

But right now, I was going to do what he told me to.

I need to spend time with Luhan before time runs out, because we may never get it back.
