"Sweetheart?" Chris said and Allison turned to her father, halfway out the car with her school bag on.

"Yeah, dad?"

"I just wanted you to know that the (L/N)'s are here. Whatever you do, don't get into a fight with their kid. We don't need to upgrade our rivalry into bloodshed." Chris sighed softly, kissing his daughters head goodbye before sending her off to school.

Chris didn't want to deal with the (L/N)'s. One, because of the century old feud between them and two, because that meant vampires were around. (L/N)'s and there bloody vampires. Of course they had to be in Florida, right near the werewolves.

You walked into school with a confident stride. You were used to moving schools because of your families job, so you knew how to make a good first impression. Be a good student, have a little confidence in your sass, be friendly, and don't tell anyone your secrets. Done and dusted.

That's until you saw her. Allison Argent. You knew the rivalry between your families, but you never were one for the rules. You've been hunting vampires since you were twelve, if you were going to get your blood drained one day, you may as well do as you please.

"Allison. Argent." You smirked as you punctured her name, leaning by her locker. "What a pleasure to meet you."

"Um...Hi? You are...?" You chuckled, offering your hand.

"(Y/N) (L/N). I'm sure you've heard of my family." A smile tugged on your lips.

"Yeah." Allison said stiffly, shaking your hand. "Vampires, huh? How's that doing for you?"

"How do you think? I deal with blood suckers on a regular basis, how often do you wash your mutts?" You said with false innocence.

"Whenever they need a good wash." Allison smiled tightly, leaving with the ringing bell.

The next time they spoke, they were in the middle of a battle. You were slinging and swinging your machete like no tomorrow, dodging speedy claws and fangs. It seemed that every time you decapitated one vampire, another arose to take its place.

Allison had been on a stake out alone for the werewolves, only to find you battling the bastards that snuck up on you. You wailed when sharp fangs sunk into your hand, hitting bone as you tried not to crumble under the pain and kill the creature.

"(Y/N)!" You watched in fascination at an arrow pierced the vampires skull, causing it to pull away and cry out in pain. You turned to the voice and saw Allison on higher ground with her crossbow. You felt a grin tug on your lips as you swung your machete and took off the vampires head.

By midnight, you were sure you'd taken out the whole next with the help of Allison's temporary stunning arrows. Allison came down from her perch and walked over to you, taking your hand in hers to examine your bleeding wound.

"Come on, my house isn't far from here. I'll patch you up there." Allison offered.

"I don't think your parents would like that." You hummed with a light frown.

"They won't know if you come through the window." Allison offered a pierced-lips smile, one you knew she was trying to suppress.

You don't know how it happened, but slowly, you started becoming friends. Your parents realised there was three nests, instead of the one, so you got to stay in Florida longer. It was amazing, fighting with Allison in the dead of night. The adrenaline and thrill was unlike anything else, because despite the danger, you knew Allison had your back.

It was only after the fifth battle with the supernatural, that it turned from friendship to something more. Both breathless from violence and covered in blood of vampires, you both had leant on each other, exhausted yet blood still pumping. You couldn't remember who initiated the kiss, only that it had been amazingly soft and passionate, the whole thing beautiful despite the taste of copper from her split lip and dirt from when you fell down a small hill.

"We shouldn't do that again." You had panted once it was over, the moonlight making Allison's pale skin glow. You couldn't help but kiss her again, slow and lingering.

"I thought you said we couldn't." She huffed in amusement.

"Shouldn't. But fuck it." You tangled your fingers in Allison's dark brown locks, kissing her harder than before, with more hunger and desperation.

You didn't stop kissing her until suffocation became an actual threat.

⚠️⚠️⚠️

A few years down the road, after you both moved away from each other and lost contact over time, you saw each other again. Allison could only stare at you as you stepped out from behind the willow tree, decked out in your hunting gear. She had a bow in hand, pointed at you before she recognised you and lowered it.

"(Y/N)...?" She breathed in surprise. "It's been...it's been a while."

"Yeah. It has." You stilled when you heard a twig snap. Turning around, you ended up back to back with Allison. You chuckled. "Like the old times, huh?"

"They were the best." Allison's mouth formed a grin.

"You know, I really did miss you. Especially the naked you." You smirked as she laughed.

"Maybe later we can bring back the nostalgia. Naked." A shiver ran down your spine at the promise, letting out a war cry when the twig-snapping vampire launched out.

You just knew Allison was the huntress for you, whether she be rival, friend, lover or wife.
