"I missed you too, baby. I feel like I haven't even been talking to you." I️ mumbled as I lied under the covers, snuggled into my boyfriend's chest.

It was Friday night and the second weekend in a row he had spent with me. He was staying true to his original word and it took unknown stress away from me.

Gia kept blowing my phone up to go out since it was homecoming weekend, but l preferred to stay in. Well, he did. But l was fine with the arrangement.

Gia and l had gotten close since our project and always found ourselves doing everything together. Going to the cafe, off campus kickbacks, and just strolls across campus. Whenever she wasn't up under Cameron's ass she was up under me. But now, my man was here so she had to get a taste of her own medicine.

"Babe, you're sure you don't want to go out? We laid in here together all last weekend. Let me show you how lit my HBCU is!"

He chuckled slightly but didn't respond, like l hadn't asked a question.

"Well, when l come see you next weekend for your homecoming don't think l'ma just be laying in your dorm room. You gotta show me off. The fuck" l reminded and he turned to face me.

"You didn't tell me you were coming for homecoming."

"Why wouldn't l? You're here for mine right?"

"Yeah, but l kind of already made plans for homecoming with the guys."

l tilted my head to the side some and raised an eyebrow. "And?"

He huffed and sat up as well. "Are we really about to turn this into an argument, Si?"

"Are you really telling me l can't come to your homecoming because you have plans with the guys? But you come to mine and expect for me to not have plans? It's my freshman year and you think l want to spend my first homecoming in the room? Hell no, but my stupid ass was sure about to," l reminded him as l flung the covers off of me and stood.

"Why do you have to make a big deal out of everything? You can come. I was just saying. And I wasn't trying to hold you back from having fun, don't make me out to be that guy." He said and while I felt a little bad, I didn't respond. I only continued to flip through the items in my small closet.

"I'm going to a party. You're welcome to join or you can lay here like you planned." I informed as I pulled out my favorite silver sparkly booties that I never got to wear, denim distressed jeans and a white, long sleeved, deep plunged bodysuit. I was surprised by how quickly I had put the outfit together and paired it with a pair of oversized silver hoops after showering.

"You're going out looking like that?" Malik asked as I brushed my curly mane up into a high bun, but I simply ignored him. There was no denying that I was in my feelings, so he was getting the silent treatment.

This would be my first time really stepping out as a college student, so he was lucky I was dressed as reserved as I was.

As I expected, he stood and rummaged through his duffle bag for something to wear. I couldn't hide my smile and he noticed as he watched me in the mirror. "Happy now?"

I rolled my eyes and nodded as I laid my edges with one of the many toothbrushes my baby sister got from the dentist. I didn't wear much make-up, but I always made sure my brows were fleeky and my lips were glossy.
