S I E N A
December 1st
Thanksgiving break had come and gone so fast and it made me a little sad, but surprisingly I missed school. Especially since we only had another week before we left again for the year and I got to get on my parent's nerves until after the New Year and finished my first semester of freshman year.
Kingston and I hadn't spoken and I knew he was staying true to his word of leaving me alone which made being around him really awkward. He barely even looked my way.
"Bitch, what happened over break with y'all?" Nikki mumbled as we made our way toward his and Cam's apartment and I frowned. "Last I heard he was at your door in the middle of the night and now y'all not speaking."
                              "Who?"
"Bye bitch," she rolled her eyes. "We don't have to go if y'all both gon bring the tension. We're supposed to have fun before the game and y'all been acting like y'all don't even know each other and we just got back,"
It was game night for the boys and the last game before the Christmas tournament began so while we would be gone, they'd be traveling which was bittersweet because it cut holiday family time short for them. It was only right we had to have some sober fun beforehand though, and I was glad because liquor involved wouldn't have been a good idea. I might've beat his ass.
The door was cracked slightly when we got there and we entered, and my stomach knotted instantly.
Jordan was the first face I saw before I noticed her sitting in King's lap. She flashed a smile my way and I smiled awkwardly her way. Gia's face was another that I could've gone without seeing, but I looked at Nikki to see if she noticed the scratches on her neck or if I was tripping. Knowing her, she finally got her ass whooped for minding everyone else's business. I hadn't spoken a word to her since the day I tried to fight her. She was a different kind of grimey and I didn't want anything to do with her, but she was unavoidable since we hung in the same circle. If it weren't for Nikki, I would've escaped that circle long ago, but she was a ball player too and hung with them as well. I was starting to think I should've run track or something.
There weren't a bunch of people there. Cameron, Gia, Kingston, Jordan, Nikki, Me, and a few of the other usuals. Taboo was what they were playing and too engrossed in to greet us apparently.
That tension Nikki spoke of was definitely apparent.
"Hey y'all!" Jordan squealed. She was the only one stupid enough to be drinking before a game but I guess cheerleaders didn't use the same logic as us. Technically, our season was over but I didn't care to really drink anyway and Nikki was being supportive of the boys.
I blinked and forced a smile, "Wassup?"
"Look, babe your girlfriend is here," she smiled, tapping King's thigh and his expression went from blank to annoyed while my eyes shifted toward everyone who had begun to stare at me.
"Oop," Cam mumbled, sticking grapes in his mouth. If anyone was for drama and bullshit, it was his ass.
"Don't be disrespectful," I told her simply. She didn't know me well enough to play with me like that. And her presence was already annoying me since King wanted to play with me too. His lying ass never had any intentions on leaving her alone and it was above me now. Fuck him.
