Choices and Decisions

In life you have a lot of decisions to make and every single one of them you take will lead to a second, a third... If you start to sum up life: decisions and choices. When you make one wrong decision, it's not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes it's just a minor detour from where you need to be. Sometimes it might even bring you to a better place than you first imagined it would. My point is simply, life is unexpected and unpredictable. You can only make assumptions.

Also you should think outside the box from time to time. If you have an option A or B, you can always come up with an option C.

Oh, how many times I think I should have chosen something else, but in the end, just look at it in a positive way. Make it work, don't give up.

Heine had fallen asleep on top of the desk, unaware of his surroundings. He had only just arrived at the church Maria Vestera once again and was emotionally worn out. This kind of situation really could take its toll on a person. It wasn't a peaceful, restful sleep as all there was left was exhaustion and sadness. His consciousness drifted away further and further. Before he knew it, his sadness got replaced by something nice, calming, something that made the corners of his mouth curled upwards as he thought about the Princes. They weren't just any students, they were the only real family he's ever had and... he left them... Perhaps, given time, they would be able to forgive him. How could one get so attached to another person in such a short amount of time. Not that he should be too surprised about this. He had grown attached to Viktor in a matter of days. Somehow, Viktor had made an impression on him despite his... well... Heine had thought him to be just a rich kid who would never be able to understand how Heine lived on the streets when they were kids. First impressions weren't always reliable. Not with Viktor and definitely not with the Princes.

His eyes opened slowly, only to notice a little girl standing next to him, staring at him with big green eyes.

"Heine-Sensei?"

She asked in a soft squeaking voice, looking adorable with 2 long braids draped over her shoulders and a cute green dress.

Heine sat upright, feeling ashamed of the fact that he had been sleeping at his desk and someone had seen him.

"Can I help you with anything?"

He asked.

The little girl shook her head and handed him a drawing she had made.

"You look sad... I made this to make you feel better Sensei."

The girl had gone to this little school for a while now and had missed Heine. She found him funny because of how short he was and how serious he always was.

Heine sighed and gave a small sad smile, taking the drawing from her and petting her head gently.

"Thank you. I will be okay. Don't worry."

He reassured her.

"Go play with the other children."

A little girl like that shouldn't fret about him. After all, he was an adult, he could take care of his own problems.

With care, he put the drawing away, only to notice a letter peek-a-booing from underneath a stack of papers. His fingertips gently caressed the paper and he closed his eyes, saying a little prayer in his mind for Viktor. He wasn't exactly religious and hardly believed in a deity but sometimes the urge to say a silent plead was stronger than himself.
