Love and Hate

Okay, not really words of wisdom this time... Mostly because it's not always easy to find a way to explain Love and Hate. There's such a thin line between them that it's easy to mistake one for the other. Sometimes you love someone so much that you can start to hate it because it is so complex and things can happen that make you hate someone or something. When you hate something, you can always start to love it just a little bit. See, it's always balancing in between. Loving or hating something is never 100% because there will always be the little things. For example... you can love an anime for a lot of reasons but there is always that one character that makes you wince internally... no?

Heine had a problem with Viktor constantly following him. Whatever a young rich kid wanted with him, he didn't want to have anything to do with it. Still, after spending a few evenings with him, the young blond haired make didn't seem the least bit discouraged and Heine was starting to get used to him. There was something about the young man, let's call it charisma; that made it hard for Heine not to like him. He possessed that 'Je ne sais quoi' that some people admired. Perhaps it was that what made Heine almost be under his spell... No, he wouldn't be so easily 'manipulated'. He would resist the siren's call and stay true to himself.

"Why would a rich kid spend so much time with someone like me?"

He asked one night, looking over at Viktor who was sitting down right next to Heine, who scooted away almost instantaneously.

"You have everything you can possibly imagine, whereas we, me and all these kids, are struggling to get by."

Viktor blinked his clear blue eyes at the redhead, looking for the right words to reply to that.

"I am trying to learn... and help you."

He told him earnestly.

"We don't need charity or your pity.'

Heine was busying himself handing out food to some of the children. As they were standing in a row, it was easier to do that. It was way more organized.

Viktor offered a small purse of money, only to have it being pushed away by Heine.

"What did I just say?! Is your hearing impaired?"

His eyes were like smoldering pits of fire.

"I am not doing this for you. I am doing this for all these children. This way you can buy more food, blankets, anything to survive the cold nights. I do not wish to find the streets filled with bodies... Just take it please."

Heine looked at the purse warily before slowly taking it and taking a peek in it.

"I don't think we'll be buying a lot of food... there aren't many coins in there... but at least we'll get by for another couple of days."

He said before his face fell as he noticed the surprised look Viktor gave him.

"Do you know the value of the country's currency?"
