Strange Places

*sorry I've been MIA I've been going through some stuff but I'm back and I'll finish both of my fanfics and I'm sure I'll make new ones in the future as well. Let's see what our Naru is doing aye?*

The journey to Konoha was an oddly silent one, everyone was wrapped in their heads. Each thought of the leaf city wondering what will happen and if anything changed at all. Naruto in the other hand thought of other things...

<Naruto's point of view>

Memories of the peaceful beach we had left behind clouded my mind. (That was my home...and my prison at the same time but many good memories were there. The time Kaasan taught me medical ninjutsu, Kaka-nii helping me make my own taijutsu, shizune-chan teaching me how to make medicines. Me growing as a earth bender... sneaking out to fight advanced ninjas at tournaments...good thing I always disguised myself. When we learned I can't use chakra as everyone else, I can't do ninjutsu the same with hand signs but I can still do them but different. It's more like I concentrate on the action itself and the Jutsu just comes out as a motion, as if I copy the feeling of the jutsu. I remember how long it took me to excel with shuriken.
I also remember when I met Kurama-nii that was a very interesting time.)

/Flashback!!!!!!!!/

Naruto spent hours trying to figure out sand to see if his earth bending could benefit from it but it was proving much more difficult. After hours and hours he lost his temper and flung sand everywhere as he slumped on his back.
"Sand is earth! Why is it so hard to bend!!!" Growled the boy.
(Maybe you should think of it differently, it is sand. Tons of tiny rocks, it is looser than stones itself so be looser.) spoke the voice he heard a thousand times.
(Oh really? How would you know you're just my imagination!) Naruto froze at feeling a tug on the back of his head and then he felt nothing. He then felt...water but that wasn't the freaky part...he saw a sewer! "I can see!" Gasped Naruto frantically looking around. He stopped when he felt that tug again and he walked further. He stopped at a large cell like door with a paper that he couldn't read since he only knew how By touch.
"I'm just your imagination hmm? Think again brat!" Hissed a large red fox shoving its large head into the boy's view. Naruto's eyes widened finally connecting the dots.
"You're Kyuubi...." breathlessly said Naruto.
"Correct kit, now you will not argue with me you will listen to my advice and become strong or I'll make you see naked Grandmas in your sleep!" Boomed the demonic voice. Naruto quickly nodded not wanting that at all. They awkwardly fell silent and Naruto tilted his head in a very cute way.
"So you're the one who's helped me all this time?" Asked The calmed golden haired boy.
"Hai." Kyuubi slightly fidgeted but didn't let it show.
"Why? I've been told you were evil but then again being sealed over and over with no freedom I'd be pissed too." Naruto said the last part to himself but surprised the giant fox anyway.
"Precisely that kit, but even us demons know not to harm the innocent and I was controlled the night you were Born and I'm sorry for what was taken from you but I swore that day I'd help you become strong." Honestly told Kyuubi. Naruto slightly smiled feeling no lies and that he could trust the bijuu.
"What's your name?" Kyuubi's eye's widened as his cheeks slightly darkened.
"Nani?" Asked a shocked fox.
"Your name can't be nine tails? That's just a title the people gave you." Kyuubi didn't expect the kid to be smart or this smart... no one has assumed his kind had names.
"Kurama...my name is Kurama."
The fox felt a strange warmth in his chest as the beautiful boy smiled at him.
"Nice to meet you Kurama, I'm Naruto!" If possible Kurama was further surprised as Naruto placed a fist in his direction.
"Will you be my first friend?" Asked the innocent soul before him not caring he is a demon and wants him to be his friend?
(How could this boy want me to be his friend?) Kurama hesitantly fist pumped Naruto and slightly jumped at feeling a strong shock like feeling.
"Sure kit...I'll always be here." Smirked the fox. Neither knew the strong bond that just began to form at the small touch, the sewer began to fade and a lovely forest took its place with a few giant willow trees here in there as well as a shrine like alter surrounded by water with a few stones as a bridge. Kurama looked at the new mindscape in awe feeling much more free and at peace. Naruto mimicked his friend's expression as he too was bewildered.
"It was nice talking to you kit but you must get back to training your earth bending, I will not settle for less you will become the best earth bender that'll ever live. Do you understand?" Kurama was satisfied at the determined look and the strong nod Naruto gave him.
"I won't let you down!" Declared Naruto as he faded back into reality.
Kurama frowned at the loss of the boy as he actually really enjoyed his company...wait what? (He is your kit don't you dare grow those kind of feelings!) thought the fox scolding himself. Only if he knew you can't stop it once it starts.
