The worst part about watching Lincoln is seeing the obvious pain and heartbreak on Octavia's face. This is the first man that made Octavia feel strong. Bellamy may have helped her learn how to survive all her life, but that was through fear and hiding away. In the short amount of time they have known each other, Lincoln has shown her how to use her strength.
Octavia and I don't talk while we sit on the floor and wait for Bellamy to come back with Clarke. Judging by the small amount of light making its way inside, I'd say it's getting late. A small noise causes me to look up from my boots and towards the ladder where Clarke's head is now visible. She opens her mouth to say something, but Lincoln's yell interrupts her.
Clarke takes a step back as Bellamy flies up the ladder. "It's okay, it's okay. He's been restrained." He says to the blonde whose eyes stay wide as she shakes her head. "I can't believe we're back here again." She says, and I stand up from my spot on the floor. "Can you help him?" Octavia asks, not bothering to move as I walk up to CLarke and Bellamy. Lincoln lets out another crazed scream, and I take a half step closer to Bellamy while turning around to face the Reaper. "I don't know." Clarke says but walks towards Lincoln anyway.
Lincoln fights against his restraints as Clarke slowly walks forward, Bellamy and I staying close behind her. "I knew Mount Weather controlled the Reapers." She says as Lincoln screams again. "I had no idea they were creating them."
"If they can do that to Lincoln, what are they doing to our friends?" Bellamy asks, and I purse my lips as I try to focus on the task at hand and not about Mount Weather could be torturing our friends.
Lincoln lets out a scream, this one louder that any of the others, causing me to take a step back and bump into Bellamy. He immediately places a hand on my shoulder and gives it a reassuring squeeze. "I'm gonna need more light." Clarke says, and I step away from Bellamy and to my discarded pack on the floor. I pull out my flashlight and shine it on Lincoln. Bellamy and Octavia do the same. Clarke takes a few seconds to look at Lincoln from a distance when his screaming stops and his whole body begins to shake. "He's convulsing." Clarke says, sounding confused and causing me to furrow my eyebrows. "So, what does it mean?" Octavia asks, sounding between confused and desperate for good news. "What happened to his leg?" Clare asks, and Octavia seems to freeze. "I shot him." She says, her voice void of emotion. Clarke gives octavia a shocked look, but she just closes her eyes.
"Clarke, he's lost a lot of blood." Bellamy says, causing Clarke to turn her attention back to Lincoln. She takes a few steps closer but freezes when Lincoln lunges at her. I take large steps forward until I'm standing next to my sister, my knife in my hand. "Can you shine the light on his neck?" Clarke asks, and I do just that, revealing round wounds there. "Needle marks." Clarke says, causing me to send her a confused look. "You think he's being drugged?" Bellamy asks, causing me to turn my attention away from Lincoln. "Maybe." Clarke says just as a clank sounds from behind me.
Something wraps around my throat, cutting off my airway, and I drop my knife in surprise. I hwe Bellamy yells my name while Octavia rushes forward. I choke as I try to pry Lincoln's arm away, but to no avail. I use my fingernails to dig into the skin on his forearm as I feel him bite into my shoulder. I try to scream, but with the ringing in my ears it's hard to know if any sound came out.
A fuzzy looking Bellamy runs up and punches Lincoln in the head, causing his grip to loosen. His other arm breaks free from his chains, and he uses it to shove Bellamy away. I bite down on Lincoln's arm, causing him to yell in pain and push me away. I land on my back and scramble away, taking deep breaths and coughing as air rushes back into my lungs.
Lincoln removes the chains from around his neck as Bellamy charges him with the taser stick, but he just throws him to the ground and begin hitting him. I scramble to my feet and try to once again pry Lincoln off of Bellamy, but he punches me hard in the stomach, causing me to stumble backwards as I gasp for air again.
