There once was a girl who never ate

Chapter four

Cassie had started to give up eating completely. She'd still do her sit ups every morning and when she returned from college, she'd do the same. But there was no apple or chicken Breast after. She was completely starving herself

She lasted 3 days before she passed out from
starvation. She was in college and it was nearly lunch time. She stood up and began to make her way out of classroom to find Michelle and she collapsed. Her tutor, Angie, rushed to help her and see if she was okay. She woke up, minutes after.

"Cassie! Are you okay? What happened?"

Angie screeched.

"I-I just stood u-up too quickly. I'm o-okay."

Cassie stuttered as she held her head in her hands.

"You had me worried Cassandra. You should go to the canteen and eat and drink something. But promise me you'll go home if you're not feeling well after that?"

"I promise, Angie. I'm good. Nothing to worry about."

Cassie just went straight home after that. She didn't go to the canteen to find Michelle. She went home and went to bed. She had no energy and had to get it some other way than food.

She was still drained when she woke up for college the next day. She collected herself and was able to make it there for her first lesson.

"You're late Cassie!" Brian exclaimed.

"You better have a good explanation."

"Yes, well Brian. I had such a bad morning. Firstly, the bus was late. So I had to walk here, then my dad rang me and told me my nan was in the hospital. I promise it won't happen again."

She said, followed by a small sigh. She was making no eye contact with him at all.

"Oh Cassandra. I do apologise."

Brain said in a soft and sympathetic voice.

Cassie felt proud. She was so convincing in her lie that she nearly believed it herself.
