Bree's P.O.V.
It's Monday and I finally feel as though weights have been lifted off my shoulders. Not all. But a lot of it. Adam was finally, actually 100% put away and I didn't have to worry for my life and Scott didn't 100% hate me like I thought he would. Jake and I are great and Zeke is actually a pretty good guy. He graduated last year from a different school and that's why I didn't know him before but I pretty happy I know him now. There's only one thing that bothers me as if now and that is what is wrong with Scott ever since we left the station, I haven't seen him since. I've tried going to his house but he wasn't there, he's not at school and he won't pick up his phone. I've even tried calling his mom but she didn't answer, she's probably still away on a trip though so that didn't bother me much.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Amanda came by my locker. "HEY GIRL! I've missed you!" She shouts and I laugh at her enthusiasm on a Monday morning. I turn around and hug her.

"Hey! I missed you too. It's been a busy weekend." I say, rolling my eyes, not even wanting to think about it. She pulls me into a hug and we walk to class to class together.

We sit through yet another boring class and then we go back to my locker. I meet Jake like I always do and we start making our way to lunch but we're stopped when Leslie stops us. I roll my eyes, not ready for her shit today. "Hey Brianne." She spits my name out like it's poison and I hold my eye roll. "Hey Jake" she practically purrs, trying to sound seductive and I scoff. She gives me dirty look. "What's your problem, slut?" I couldn't hold back my laughter this time. She's calling me a slut?

"Okay, Leslie, I'm not here to deal with your shit today. I'd rather go and have a nice day without you. Now if you could leave me alone, that'd be absolutely amazing." I could see her eyes narrow in hate and Jake and I walk away "Oh, and I'd watch what you call people. Calling other people a slut doesn't make you any less of one." I hear her gasp and stomp away in her heels. Jake laughs and he puts his arms around my shoulder.

He looks down at me. "You know Bree, you make a pretty good arm rest" he says and I roll my eyes. I hate when tall people say that about short people. Just because I'm 5'1, doesn't mean you can make fun of me. I laugh and punch his shoulder. "Damn girl, maybe we should cut down your time at the gym, you should break an arm." He laughs. "But you don't have to cut down your time at the tracks. Wanna go Friday?" I could feel my eyes light up in excitement.

"Hell yeah I want to go!!!" He laughs at how happy that makes me and we walk to lunch together.

It's finally Friday. I haven't found out what was wrong with Scott. I've called him everyday and went to his house everyday. Nothing. He hasn't even showed up to school and I was REALLY beginning to worry by now. I invited Amanda over to help me get ready for the tracks tonight. Of course I didn't tell her that I was going to the tracks considering it's illegal, I just told her Jake and I were going out and she squealed, assuming that we're going on a date. She said she's always shipped us #Brake and I always roll my eyes at her dumb ship name. I tried explaining to her that were weren't going out like that but she doesn't take No for an answer.

Now, here I am after hours of getting ready by Amanda when I could have taken thirty minutes tops to get ready alone. I do admit, the outcome is a lot better than mine would've been but she insisted that it was perfect. So, here I am, dressed in ripped denim jeans, white flowy v-neck tank top and my leather jacket and boots. My hair was curled into loose curls and pulled half of it up after teasing it. My make up had eye liner and Smokey eye with dark red lipstick and she put in silver hoop earrings. I looked pretty bad ass I admit.

I thank Amanda for the look and I walk down stairs, meeting Jake my the front door. "PRINCESS! you look beautiful!" I feel my self blush and he smiles at his effect he has on me. We walk out and get onto his bike. I was SO excited for racing tonight! I wrap my arms around Jake's waist and he speeds off to the tracks.

About an hour later, we arrive at the tracks and there was already lots of people there considering it was only 10. Most nights, the races go on until 4am and more people show up later than 10. We got there and signed in and registered for the race and got set up. Jake was racing first and I was racing after him.

He pushed his bike up to the starting like and the buzzer went off signaling he had five minutes. He checked his bike making sure no one did anything to it and I gave him a hug for good luck.

"Jake! Good luck. Don't wreck!" I plea. I've always feared he would wreck his bike. I don't know what I'd do if I lost Jake. He smiles at my concern.

"Princess, I won't wreck." He says as he grabs my cheeks. He pulls me into a hug, wrapping his arms around my shoulders. Then I hear someone whistle and we look up to see Zeke. I've never seen him here before? We walk up to him quickly because Jake's race was going to start soon.

"Zeke? What are you doing here?" I ask surprise laced in my voice.

"I could ask you two the same thing." He says smiling. "But I've been going to these things since I could drive. I was driving one night to anywhere and came across here. I've been racing for a long time, I'm surprised I haven't seen you two before."

"Same here man! Glad to see you but I got to go, my race is coming up." Jake says. Zeke wishes him good luck and they do that bro hug. Jake gets onto his bike and he took off, already ahead of the other 3 racers. Zeke and I stood side by side watching the race until we couldn't see any further. Zeke turns to me and starts up a conversation.

"How long you been coming here?" He asks.

"Well, Jake and I've been coming here for a long time. We haven't been as much as we used to but we've been coming more." I respond.

"You any good?" He asks smirking.

"Well yeah, I ALWAYS win." I say joking but not really joking. I wasn't that cocky but I do win.

"What about Jake?"

"Yeah. He's the one who taught me to race. He's only lost to me but no one else." I say and Zeke smirks at that. "What about you? You any good?" I ask.

"Ehhhh. I'm not too bad." He says smiling now.

Right before I was about to speak again, my phone rings. I pull out my phone and see it was from Scott. I hold up a finger to Zeke signaling to hold on and he nods. I was eager to answer because I've been worried sick about Scott. I kept my eye on the track though Incase Jake came around. I answer and put my phone to my ear. "Hello?!" I say just as I see Jake come into view.

"Hey, Brianne....." he says. He sounded awful. He voice was rough.

"What's wrong?!" I ask the question I've been dying to ask for over a week. I see Jake coming closer to the finish line.

"Bree....I-I have cancer....."
