Going Home

After I finished packing everything up, I can't decide weather I should tell someone about what we found behind Daytona's wall. It's just so astonishing to me that I am in shock. Complete udder.

"Abigail, sweetie! I have missed you so much!" My mother storms in and practically chokes me.

"Oh hi mom! I've missed you guys too!" We talk about what has been going on and I finally blurt out what's been eating me alive. Daytona's secret serum.

The look of shock on their faces made me think that maybe I shouldn't have told them. But they decide it's best I tell the principal what I discovered so maybe the school can re-open very quickly.

"Okay, l-let's go." We walk out the hallway and find those double doors I was once shoved out of, tall and brisk wood now.

I knock twice on the doors, waiting for a response. And I finally receive one. "Come in."

"Hello, ma'am. I'm not only here to say goodbye, but I've found something very opening to the mystery." She nods for me to continue. "I've been packing up with my friends and one suddenly pointed out something. It was a hole in the wall behind where Daytona's bed used to be. Inside, we found a serum. She did kill Kelsey and then herself to make sure the pointing fingers were gone. I guess death was better than jail." I sob a bit because I still can't believe it.

She tells me to just go and will give me a call later. The principal also did say she was very thankful for my help, surprisingly.

We arrive home that night, it's so beautiful I can't believe that I forgot how much I missed it. I race up the stairs to my room and lie down on my naked bed.

"Ahh." It feels nice to be left alone in silence for once, at least no more learning for a while. I also forgot how much I hated school, why did I want to go back? I chuckle a bit at the thought.

Something doesn't feel right, though. Like I'm missing something or someone. Daytona and Kelsey. I barely knew Kelsey but Daytona I did know. I miss her already, but she was a murderer. A task I can never forgive and can never be re-payed.

"Abigail, honey, it's time for some dinner! We made some Ramen Noodles, your favorite!" My dad yells from the kitchen. Mmm, they were my favorite.

I'm so glad I'm home.
