It's been three months. We had a few exams at school. I couldn't care about anything else than school so I did well with them. I was communicating less with Sarah. I actually didn't care about life anymore. If it should stay like this forever, I rather wanted to die to be with my mother at least. My dad wasn't even wondering why I wasn't talking. I was emotionless but he didn't even notice that. Nor did Samuel. Nor did anyone. Until one day.
I was at school, being a normal, quiet student. Until one teacher called out my name. It was Mr. Leaves. "Amy!" I didn't exist in this world so I just ignored him by mistake. He must have become really mad, that's why if came over to my table and started to shout at me. But I didn't notice him. I was far away, in the world of my thoughts. But suddenly something snapped me out of my daydreams. It was that everyone was staring at me. And I also noticed Mr. Leaves. I quickly took out a piece of paper and a pen. I started writing.
I apologize Sir, I can't talk. I have some bad experience behind me. I completely lost the ability to talk.
He glared at me. "Is this some kind of joke? Well if it is one, it's not funny!" he shouted at me. I shook my head and took out another piece of paper.
No, Sir!
He glared at me again. "Okay but if I find out that you were just making fun of me, you can go to the headmaster's office! But you can solve the calculation on the board anyway!" I stood up. "Well done Amy, well done I thought while walking to the blackboard. I looked at the calculation. It was an easy one for me. I knew what to do. When I was finished I went to my place again and sat down. I was still shaking hard because of Mr. Leaves "visiting" my place. Sarah looked at me. She looked worried. "Is everything okay, Amy?" she wanted to know. I just nodded. I passed a letter over to her. I'm sure you're the only one who understands my problems! Thank you Sarah, and I'm fine! She quickly read it. Them she looked at me and smiled. I wanted to smile too. I tried to move my lips. However, my lips didn't move. They stayed as cold as earlier. With my cold blue eyes I looked at her.
She understood me. She was a real friend. I was really lucky to have her here. I knew I wasn't alone. And I would never be. Because she would stay my friend forever. My eternal friend. My best eternal friend.
