Chapter 2.

A cold winter morning was greeted with frosty glare from a sour Kim. She was neither happy nor sad to go to Southside High. It meant she'd have to see him again.

Perhaps he'd lay off and not embarrass her whilst she made a small speech in front her home room class. Maybe he'd invite to hang out with him and his friends. Wait, who we kidding here? He's probably lonely.

She felt like a needle in hay, the way she stood out compared to the other students here. They wore plaid shirts and leather jackets, greased hair and large clumpy boots. Whilst she wore her yellow puffer jacket and her somewhat large mom jeans, under was a light yellow graphic shirt. She looked down at her black vans and walked in, regretting everything.

She had spotted no other girls here so she strolled to R189, her home room. She rolled her eyes briefly as she saw the tall greasy haired boy at the back, with some girl. She had light pink highlights and her face had a somewhat tough look to it.

"Hey Eun, come meet Topaz" his low voice stood out from the rest of the losers and weirdos in the room. As she walked over to the back of the classroom, she walked past a skinny boy with a grey crown beanie. So, the famous Forsyth Pendleton Jones III was here. Perhaps he'd be a better influence.

"Hey, Jones? You mind helping a gal out?"

"You talking to me?" He looked up at me with these despairing brown eyes as he cast a small grin at me.

"Yeah, who's that asshat in the back?" I pointed to 'Sweet Pea'. He sighed inwardly.

"That's Sweet Pea. Apparently only one person in the school knows his real name.

"Does he think he's funny or something?"

"Oh yeah, thinks he's a real ladies man. More of a Greaser than a Soc unlike Reginald Mantle. Just steer clear from Serpents like him, okay?"

"Thanks for that Jones"

I walked to my desk on the far left of the classroom, shrugged my bag off just as the teacher came in.

"Yeah yeah, settle down will ya? We've got a new student, Kimberly Eun, cool. Just do what you want, I haven't got the time to deal with y'all"

Suddenly the guy next to me tapped my shoulder and I turned around. He had this blonde hair and a sly smile.

"Hey there beautiful."

"Uh hi."

"Newbie? Jonathan Pempley. Your next boyfriend eh?" He smirked lightly, pulling a red striped straw from his coat pocket, opening it slightly as he tipped it down his throat. The powder smelt sweet but all too good to be legal. I sighed, the guy looked good enough to eat, that was no lie. I turned my head to look at Sweet Pea, glaring at me, then dropping his head down, scribbling furiously.
