Another A.N - wattpad changed Record Shop to Fanfiction but tbh I really don't give a shit it's staying in short story.
Chapter 14 - epilogue ***
The hospital corridor was packed with people of all kinds: Serpents, officers, Northsiders and teachers. All here for one person.
Well, two.
But mainly for the poor girl who had jumped into the tower of rocks. Suffering with severe scratches, a broken leg and a scratched everything. To make things worse, she was in a coma, no one was sure whether she'd make it or not.
Alas, she pulled through.
Her father was the first to visit her, tears welling up, him pleading for her to forgive her for treating her like crap. Weatherbee came in next, telling the poor girl that she'd be transferred to Riverdale High, due to Southside High closing down.
Kim had received multiple gifts and flowers, she'd been nursed back to health and was due to start her first day at Riverdale.
Sweet Pea had driven her on his motorcycle to school, wearing his preppy uniform the Lodges had so kindly donated to the Serpents, whilst Kim wore her oversized denim jacket and her mom jeans.
"Look at you, double denim" he joked, wrapping his arm around her.
"Look at you, preppy Peter" She retorted, nuzzling her face into the crook of his neck.
She got off his bike and carried her book bag to the entrance where she was greeted by a friendly face: Veronica Lodge.
"Kim! Welcome, to Riverdale High. Your new haven for school and work!" She gave her friend a tight hug and walked in with her, Sweet Pea on her trail.
She met up with Toni in the break room, where they caught up.
"so, you and Sweet Pea - again?"
"We're that annoying on and off again couple. Like Jackie and Kelso kinda" she shrugged, smiling at the thought of her boyfriend.
"When'd it happen? Yesterday? Last week?"
"I don't really know, we just kinda walked back into each other. I feel a hell of a lot better with him. He makes sure I eat, that I get enough sleep."
"You guys are adorable. So I was thinking, we go to the hospital together, you know, to get your checkup and that stuff"
She immediately understood what her friend meant and nodded her head slowly.
"I guess."

After school, she walked to the hospital with Toni, into her doctor's office.
"Ah, Kimberley. Here for a checkup?"
"Exactly. How often should I come here then?"
"How about, every two months shall we say? Unless you yourself feel uncomfortable"
"It's fine, Doctor Keller."
The woman smiled at the young girl with her eyes crinkling. Ever since she'd found out that her husband had been having an affair from Alice Cooper, she'd pretended as though everything was okay and continued to love him.
"You know Doc, you shouldn't do this to yourself. You're hurting yourself. Sure, he might be the happiest now, sneaking around two women but it's not good for you. Leave him, think about it, okay?"
The woman was shocked at the young woman's words but nodded.
"Goodness Kim, seems as though you're a completely different person"
"No one really knew me at the beginning, doc" she looked over at her with a smile, and she pointed her thumb towards the left corridor. Dr. Keller walked her out of the room and towards the West wing to room 16.
She met up with Toni, and they walked over with their flowers and over to the bed. There were small cards and flowers around and Kim felt a tear roll down her eye as she placed a bouquet of flowers and a card down on the bedside table.
She put her hand to her lips and pressed a kiss onto it, resting her hand on the person's forehead as she and Toni embraced each other, crying.
