I feel like I've rushed into it too much, I'm sorry if you feel that way but once the story's finished, I'll be editing and trying to make it click more. This story will only be around fourteen chapters long or so.
Chapter 9
•••When Sweet Pea finally arrived home from his shift at the Whyte Wyrm, he stumbled across a very fragile Kim.
"W-why did you come home so late? It's 2am" she whispered, wrapping the blanket around her tighter.
"I just wanted to pick up some more money, Alright?" He winced at his now hushed voice - Kim had that affect on him.
"But what about me? Everyday you come home late, and just get into bed like nothing happened. How can I be with you if you're never around?"
He sighed and dropped his jacket on the table, walked over to her and caressed her cheek, which she pulled away.
"Baby-" he started but to no avail, he slumped down as she put on her shoes and her jacket.
"I've never let down my walls to any guy, any girl - anyone! And suddenly you come and make me feel fucking like I'm on top of the world! Four months Sweet Pea. So tell me, do you love me?"
"Y-yes" he stuttered, trying to grab her hand as she grabbed her hair and pulled it out of her jacket.
"I'm going to be out for a while. Don't bother looking for me"
"Kim-"
"Let me go, Sweet Pea."
"No. 'Cause you'll have to smash my heart into a million pieces."
"Let. Me. Go." She grit her teeth.
"Not until you shatter my heart"
"I won't pick up the fucking pieces" she yelled, no longer feeling sick or tired - but angry and annoyed.
He knew she'd been a fragile soul - headstrong and confident on the outside, but a small little girl on the inside.
