Chapter 5.

After meeting Toni Topaz's friend, Nadine Netting: Kim felt slightly better. They had walked all the way over to the high street, filled with boarded up shops and people standing close to each other, mugs of beer held tightly to their chests.

Nadine Netting was a small blonde with wavy hair and these eyes that just popped. She seemed slightly skinnier than Toni and had a large green dress shirt on along with a pair of black skinny jeans.

"Toni gorgeous! Nice to see you on this side of the tracks. You should come by more often!"

"Well hello to you too Dina. We're here on business however. Got a minute?"

"Will two hours be enough?" She winked, her petite figure leaning on the frame of her peeling door.

They had sat down at the small kitchen table, as Nadine had no living room.

"So, what seems to be the problem?"

Kim felt as though she could trust her and spilled her troubles. After at least seven minutes of just hearing the situation, Nadine put her hand up, eyes closed.

"So this... Asshole basically fat-shamed you and now you've just stopped eating. This is very common. Say Kim, can I call you that? Have you been triggered by these sort of comments before. Even if it meant just skipping a day of meals?"

Kim sighed and closed her eyes in thought. Had she ever skipped meals purposely? She had, more than twice and three times: six times.

"Not that I can think of. I mean, as a kid I'd been called names and abused. People have made fun of my weight though, yeah."

"But have you ever skipped a meal or meals?"

"I mean I was bullied when I was six so I didn't think much of it. Maybe it's just now that I'm older I understand it." She shrugged. Lies, you did think MUCH of it.

"So, have you eaten anything today?"

"No... Just a stick of gum and some water is all"

"Ahah! Kim, no matter what people say you shouldn't let it affect you. I can tell you're lying to me."

"It's only happened once... Or twice."
