The door was slammed shut, the female gasping heavily.

Running to the bathroom, she washes away the blood oozing from reopened scars. Desperate to mask the scent, she snipped some of the red ends of her hair and burnt them in the bathtub with a lighter, releasing a sour burnt odor that would block out her blood.

She scrubbed the wounds harshly, removing all blood before wrapping her torso tightly with bandages.

Breathing heavily with sweaty palms, she gripped her head, trying to process what the hell she just did.

They probably saw her eyes. She regretted not using the contacts she was given and letting her guard down.

She slung on a jacket the same colour as her hair that had red sleeves and hood and sat on the windowsill, carefully sliding down onto the tiles of the house and sliding down the water pipe.

Shu teleported into the room, ordered by Reiji to investigate the sour smell.

He realized that she wasn't in the room and he opened the bathroom door, seeing the small fire in the tub.

His breath hitched. The pyrophobic male backed out quickly and slammed the door shut. He looked around the room and spotted the open window, she wasn't in the house.

The girl wandered the compound to ease herself back into her cold composure.

It wasn't though she didn't want to have emotions it was just that it was hard to. After all she went through that was the only way for her to stay sane, especially after her only friend left.

As she walked she soon found herself by the edge of a lake.

For some reason she was compelled to kneel down and touch the murky water. The cold liquid coated her fingertips and a memory played in her mind.

A young child with green eyes and red hair reached out towards his mother who simply glared at him with the same piercing green eyes. He shouted a gasped but the woman ignored it, the slightest hint of a smile at her lips.

When all that was left of him above the water was his hand the woman turned to leave. Kagami grabbed the hand that was weakly grabbing at air and pulled, only to wake up where she had left off.

She got up, brushing the gravel off her jeans and looked up, spotting a small figure on the distant pier.

She approached slowly, arriving just in time to see Ayato skim a stone across the water. It skipped three times and sank with a plop.

"It hurt didn't it?" The male spun around and sent a glare at the female. "What are you doing here-!?" "To see your brothers get all that affection while you were stuck studying, pitted against Shu and getting rewarded by your mother with sinking you to the bottom of this lake."

He stared at her with wide eyes as she finally looked up, showing her eyes that were now a lime green. They were filled with remorse, guilt but most importantly pride. Not self pride but more like a mother who was proud of her son. "I'm sorry Ayato..."

A tear rolled down her cheek and Ayato stepped forward, reaching out his hand before halting himself.

The green was gone and her eyes were blue again.

She touched her face, confused as to why it was wet. As soon as it hit her, she swiftly brushed away the tear and backed up, her eyes flickering through different colours. Backing away, she walked off. He didn't attempt to stop her.

She hopped over the mansions gate and pulled out her phone.

She hadn't had any of her pills since the day she left her house and by now she's long run out.

Coming to a desperate conclusion that the lack of medicine was what was making her feel this things, she dialed Chiba's number. "Moshi moshi?"

Kagami: Chiba, what happened to the pills I was supposed to take?

Chiba: Pills? Kagami, is that you?

Kagami: Yes

Chiba: Kagami! I missed you so much! What took you so long to call-?

Kagami: Chiba this is serious, what happened to the pills?

Chiba: Ah... The pills from Karl? You don't need them anymore.

Kagami: Are you sure? Since the medicine ran out something has been...strange...

Chiba: What do you mean?

Kagami: I have had flashbacks of memories that aren't mine, I can't seem to control my emotions easily anymore... Chiba, why am I here?

Chiba: He was right... It worked

Soft sobs could be heard through the receiver, his voice choking slightly.

Kagami: What worked?

Chiba: You don't have to suffer anymore... You can have your emotions back...!

He sniffled loudly and bawled.

Chiba: I'M SO HAPPYYYY!!!!

Kagami: Chiba, what do you mean?

Chiba: Gomene, Kagami, I can't tell you... Not right now so... Hang in there, okay...?

Kagami: Chiba? Chiba!

The dial tone sounded cruely, like how it would sound if a heartbeat monitor was ripped of a human. The ringing sound echoed. The girl looked down at the unlit screen, an unknown bitter feeling in her chest.

As if to make the situation worse, drops of rain fell onto the screen, a sign that the heavens were about to be let loose. What perfect timing.

Before she could get soaked to the bone, she managed to find a small shelter.

Deciding that the rain wouldn't let off so soon, she took a seat on the bench of the small round table in the center of the tiny sheltered area.

The Sakamaki manor that was previously faintly visible was now shrouded by a grey mist.

With her body weight now on top of the chair and off her feet, the once unnoticed lethargy kicked in. It had been a long day, how could she not be exhausted. The adrenaline from the earlier fight was finally draining from her body and she justseemdd to collapse onto the table, the cold wind stirring her into a exhaust fueled rest
