The wind whistled through the cracks of her balcony door. The chill of an approaching winter fell upon the mansion. It was silent. The room was dark except for the dim white light emitting from the ravenette's phone. Multiple texts from her spanning across days lined her screen, many more above it.
"Chiba?" "Chiba please reply me." "Chiba reply now." She was pacing in front of her bed, she was confused. Not angry, not sad, not worried, confused. Confused at how she was supposed to feel. After all Chiba had never disappeared without a word before. Even so he would contact her within a day
She looked at her phone one last time before giving up, tossing the piece of metal on her bed and sitting down as the phone landed on the side of her pillow.
This was all so new to her, first she feels what she guesses are emotions after not taking her medicine and now this? So many new things were happening and her father figure was nowhere to be found.
Her right eye strained at the rate her eye was swapping colours under the blue contact. She cupped a hand over the tense eye, leaning forward, trying to calm down.
She couldn't go out, she knew it. With her this unstable she was practically a sheep with a bulls eye in a crowd of wolves. She picked up her phone again but no dice. Placing her phone aside she left for her room's balcony, letting the cool mid-autumn wind whip through her hair.
A knock soon came from the door. She whipped her head around, walking briskly to the door. Opening it a crack and looking out, she saw a splash of blonde before opening her door the rest of the way. Kou stepped in with a gleeful smile, fleeting as he saw how pale her face was. He looked concerned, stepping forward to place a hand on her shoulder. Guiding her to the bed he asked the silent question. "I'm fine." She smiled, her eyes straining to stay open. He frowned slightly, squeezing her shoulder tighter. "Don't lie to me." His eye flashed a bright magenta, glowing eeriely in the dark.
She looked away, mumbling "I just feel sick." The blonde frowned, this time a lot more like his usual self. "I'll go ask Ruki if I can stay back to take care of ya~" he grinned broadly, flashing a peace sign as he practically waltzed out of the room.
A few minutes later, he appeared, an irked Subaru behind him. "Ruki won't let me go!!!" He wailed dramatically, shaking Kagami back and forth. "Tch, Drama queen..." The albino behind him mumbled, annoyed.
"And he wants grumpy pants here to look after you!" He frowned childishly, the subtlest hints of actual resentment underlining the small snarl he bit back at the end of each word. "Shut up pretty boy!" Subaru growled, stomping into the girl's room and shutting the idol out with a slam of the door.
The whining of Kou could be heard before a shout from, most likely, Ruki sent him storming downstairs.
Subaru rolled his eyes and sat by the windowsill. "You're smarter than the bloodbag so just do whatever." He muttered, looking out the slightly frosted over glass. She nodded despite him not seeing it and she lifted her phone, checking for a reply but as it was previously, nothing. She squeezed the smartphone slightly. "Oi!" She narrowly dodged the lunge from the white haired male. "How do you have a phone...?" He muttered.
Running at the girl, she once again was able to move the phone out of his grasp.
"Tch" he grumbled, flopping back onto his spot by the window. "Just don't let that stupid four-eyes see it..." After seeing this Kagami didn't know why but she felt the ghost of a smile curl the corners of her lips as she looked at the ruby eyed male
