Eleeza woke up, still feeling pain radiating through her body. But this time it was different. It took her some minutes to recollect the happenings of the last day. She looked like her normal self again and she had met her sister.

She had to think of her family again. That awful day when they expelled her from their world. She remembered it only vaguely, like most of the Otherworld. It was a spell that had been put on her. She could remember her family, where she came from, but there were not more than a few pictures on her mind. Whoever worked the magic erased her entire past leaving no more than scratches.

She was confused. Why did her sister show up? She had made up her mind that no one in the Otherworld wanted her, or that she had done something so terrific that they expelled her. Seeing her sister excluded at least one of her theories. Why had she not asked her sister? Well, at least she remembered her name and a bit of who she was. But had they been close? What memories did they share which had been deleted from Eleeza's mind? Thinking of the Otherworld caused her head to ache. Something within her mind fought against her strains to regain her memories.

Evan moved in his sleep and she got aware of him lying close to her. She lifted her hand. It cost her lots of effort and pain, but she eventually managed. Her arm was covered in a bandage, something pink soaked through it. She thought of the pain when Esalaa changed her. Her bubbles must have burst, leaving wounds.

She imagined Evan caring for her, bandaging her wounds as she so often did his. He was the kindest person she knew, or had gotten to know in her new life.

He stirred again and she started caressing his cheek. His skin was soft again and the scars the infection had left had faded. He is so beautiful, she thought, with his black hair, muscular body and soft face. But mostly because of his way towards others, he found good within everybody. And he judged people not by their first appearance, but was always able to look depper. When she kissed him very gently on his mouth he woke and kissed her back passionately. He grasped her shoulders to pull her closer to him. As the pain exploded in her shoulders, she gritted her teeth to keep from crying out loud.

"I am so sorry. I forgot about your wounds." he apologized, a bit shocked. She shook her head to signalize that it was fine. She took a deep breath, and then she rose from the bed. And fell right back, as everything around her got black from dizziness.

"Well, that was too fast I guess." she said. He got up and helped her to stand. She was naked because Evan had not been able to find a washed gown for her last night. When she looked down on her body she saw that most of it was covered with bandages.

"I saw the wound on my hand. Do I have the same wounds all over my body? It's from the exploding bubbles, isn't it?" she asked.

He nodded, a worried expression on his face: "I guess so. I did not see it, because the light around you were so bright. But when I washed you from this pink, sticky stuff I saw all your wounds. They are quite deep, so probably you should rest a bit more."

"No way! I have to go outside! I have been locked in this room for a week now. I long for sunlight, fresh air and the wide sky!" she protested.

He sighed: "I will ask the maid next door for a gown, okay? But please sit down while I am gone. I do not want to find you unconscious again!" Eleeza was shocked by his harsh voice and sat down as he said. It must have been a hard time for him as well, she figured. She sighed; she just wished to have a break from life. Some holidays maybe. Not that she ever had some in all her time here.

When he came back he found her lost in thought. She was picking at some bandages, trying to scratch an itchy point beneath them. She turned when he stepped into the room.
