Song: The Middle - Zedd

•••

If you asked me a month ago, I'd tell you I wouldn't ever waste my first kiss on a playboy, but I knew that things never go to plan. Besides something about what he said earlier made me think of him different. Only slightly. I wasn't going to deny that the kiss was pretty good though. I blamed it on the fact that it was sweet revenge.

Damn, the look on her face was absolutely worth it.

When I looked at her though the corner of my eye, I saw her give me a murdurous look. She looked a lion about to strike.

What I definitely didn't expect was for her to actually do that.

Fine, I had done the same earlier but I was as immature as a baby giraffe. She was older than me and had more experience in the filmware world. Besides I didn't expect her to be able to sprint in 6 inch stilettos. I couldn't even stand in 2 inch heels.

"Uh-oh," I said, hiding behind River who still seemed dazed by my random kiss.

Right now he wasn't my priority, he'd been kissed by thousands of girls. He'd get over it.

I peeked by head out from behind him to see her crounched down, fiddling with her shoes. Was she actually taking them of? She held them before resuming her run towards me barefoot.

I continued to hide behind River.

The lightbulb seemed to click on his head for he sprinted behind me. "This is your problem, Kayla! Don't drag me into this!" He whimpered.

I grabbed his shirt again, throwing him in front of me like a shield. The dickhead. She wouldn't have hated me in the first place if it wasn't for him. "What do you mean it's my problem? You're the one who cheated on her!"

We both looked up at her in syc, listening to the words littering out her mouth, "You ugly, big mouthed-" I muted her in my mind.

Was I scared? Maybe a tad.
Did I regret my actions? No way.

"Oh shit," he said weakly, before frantically trying to escape only to trip over my feet and bring us both tumbling down the the ground.

I scrambled up, before hauling him to his feet with me. Did he freaking eat stones? He weighed a god down tonne. "Run!" I screamed, legging it down the bridge as he sprinted behind me.

Within two seconds, River was a foot ahead of me. Unlike him, I'd been blessed with stubby little legs, just what would help me right then. "Slow down, you jerk!"
