Chapter 31

"Amelia, looking good" Donna said as I ran into her in the elevator

"Thanks Donna" I blushed a little at her compliment "what did you think about the party?"

"It was good although, I did notice you weren't around too long" she raised her eyebrow suspiciously at me

"I guess after setting up a meeting with potentially the biggest client at the firm, I considered my work done"

"Good one" she said as the steel doors opened and we were greeted by the usual buzz at the firm 

We walked side by side towards our respective desks and when were were right in front of my office, we ran into Harvey

"Hey" I said and smiled widely

"Hi" he looked briefly at me but quickly turned to Donna "Donna I need you to send out these and get me a meeting with the lawyer who's representing Ms. Ward"

"Sure but one thing first" Donna replied "could you two not be so obvious"

"I'm not sure I understand what you mean" I interjected

"Oh please, sneaking together early from office parties and then arriving the next day with puppy eyes for each other" she huffed and walked away from the conversation before I could say anything else

I walked into my office let my purse down and took off my camel colored coat revealing a fitted ivory dress paired with brown suede Manolos. Harvey walked in behind me and sat on one of the chairs across my desk

"Thank you for breakfast" I smiled leaning myself against the desk with my arms crossed 

"Thank me for after breakfast" he said devilishly

"For the shower?" I played dumb "sure that was good too"

"More for the part when I made you scream from pleasure"

"That's a little cocky of you"

"I would be if I was wrong" he stood up from the chair and buttoned up his suit

"I have reached the conclusion that there is nothing bigger about you than your ego"

"Ouch" he laughed "hey, do you wanna grab lunch together later?"

"Sure, but it's on me since you did breakfast"

"Oh I think you payed me pretty well for that one"

"Don't expect any retribution for lunch then" 

"We will see about that, I can't assure you I'm going to behave while you have that dress on" he opened the door to my office and turned back to me "see you at 1"

I was completely abstracted in my own thoughts preparing my brief for the Jonas Goldberg meeting I had the next day and I didn't notice when someone walked into my office. After a couple minutes I felt a certain presence in my office  so I took my eyes off the brief and found none other than Frank Weber standing right in front of me

"Frank...what are you doing here?"

"Decided to drop by say hi you know" I took my glasses off and leaned back in my chair "and I wanted to apologize... again for the whole situation"

"Its fine you didn't have to come all the way up here for that"

"Well I actually did, I was a total asshole and I'm here to make it up to you, I was wondering if you would like to have lunch with me?"

*clink clink* the glass door of my office opened once again 

"It's 1, you ready?" Harvey asked dismissing Franks presence in the room
