2 weeks later

The cold wind in the city was making my getting out of bed process harder, if there's one thing I really like is sleep and my bed was too comfy to leave that cold Friday morning. After pressing snooze about two times on my phone, I was getting up and braving the day. That week had been tough, a lot of work and some complications...nothing huge but still stressful...I guess that's the life. After having some quick coffee and a bagel I was out the door and on my way to the office...I couldn't wait for the weekend to come soon enough. Even though I knew it was cold outside that day I opted for a grey sheath dress that came to my knees paired with nude heels and a light coat. It was chic but oh so cold, in any case I decided on that particular ensemble because I had a date later that night and no time to go home and change after work, so I had to manage a work/date dress code for the time being.

"Tina I left the last transcript of the Herald deposition, just file it and I'll work on it on Monday" I said to my assistant as I grabbed my bag and walked out of the office
"Have fun on your date" she said as I walked past her
"Thanks have a good weekend"
"You too"

I got out of my car at Pegu Club on West Houston, the exposed brick exterior gave off a cool, relaxed yet sophisticated vibe. I entered and the atmosphere was just what I expected with a long bar and some lower tables next to the windows. I saw him on one of the windows and walked right over to the table.
"Hey Frank" I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek as hello and took off my coat before sitting on the chair opposite him
"Hey I'm glad you could make it" he stood up to greet me appropriately
"Oh I was itching to get out of the office, this week has been tough and I needed a drink"
"And we get to enjoy each others company" he said while a waiter approached the table so I could order my drink
"I'll have a gin & tonic please" I politely said to the waiter and put my phone on vibrate face down on top of the table

"So I get the money but he gets the credit? Screw that" Frank said a little loudly referring to his recent week which according to him had been rough like mine
"I get it I get it" I said while sipping the last of my drink "it's not worth it for now but you have to just deal with it, make yourself visible so you get the credit on your own"
"You're right and I'm sorry for boring you with my work stuff" he waved at the waiter and ordered another drink for me which I didn't mind but I had to pace myself since I hadn't had a chance to grab something to eat since lunch and it was almost 9:30
"Oh it's nothing, don't worry about it we all have to vent sometimes about it"
"You're right I just don't want to waste my time with you talking about work it seems rather...wasteful" I raised my eyebrows as I heard that last part
"Then don't be wasteful" I said in a challenging and playful tone while I leaned back on my chair and crossed my legs
"I'll see what I can do to entertain you" he leaned forward and took a drink from his scotch as he looked me straight in the eye and I smiled back "you look great tonight as always"
"Thank you, you don't look bad yourself" I took a sip from my newly served drink

"I'm sorry" I looked away from Frank to look at the caller ID on my phone
*Harvey Specter mobile*
Oh great, he decides to call me now? I thought to myself, unfortunately I wasn't going to answer. I have a very strict policy on not answering the phone unless it's an emergency. Call me old fashioned but I thought texting/talking on the phone while you're with someone else right in from of you is very rude and even though I wanted to answer I was busy, so I pressed the snooze button and rejected the call before placing the phone face down on the table again.
"Sorry about that" I directed my attention towards Frank once again
"No worries"
"So where were we" I took another sip from my drink, I was starting to feel a little loose and I mentally scolded myself for not eating before I came here
"You were about to tell me how much you are enjoying this date" he said in a playful tone
"I actually am enjoying it" I wanted to throw him off his game a little with a response he didn't expect from me
"Wow, I really never know what's gonna come out of your mouth next"
"I guess that's a good thing"
"Oh wouldn't you like to know" he mustered in a low voice
"I already do" I leaned forward
"How so?"
" I can see it in your face...what can I say? I'm a damn good lawyer I read people all day"
*buzz*
Ugh what now, it wasn't a call just a text by the way it vibrated
"Go ahead" Frank said while looking at my phone "maybe it's important"
"Sorry" I said while I picked it up and checked the screen
*Harvey Specter: He looks boring*
What the? I thought to myself. What is he talking about? Maybe this text was sent by mistake I thought to myself while my expression seemed puzzled.
"Everything ok?" Frank asked while sipping his drink
"Um yeah it's *buzz* nothing"
*Harvey Specter: Let me guess...investment banker?*
Was he talking about Frank? Harvey was here? I felt an urge to look around but I knew it would only give him more advantage in the situation and I would look like a confused deer so I decided against it.
I quickly tapped on my screen a response to that last text: None of your business. Then, proceeded to store away my phone in my purse where it wouldn't interrupt my date anymore.
