Chapter 10

Ariana's POV

I woke up with the sun in my eyes. I stumbled out of bed to my bathroom. I stared at myself in the mirror admiring how bad my hair looked. It was literally going in all different directions. I looked at the clock, and saw it was 1:00, I guess I was much more tired than I thought I was. I decided to go ahead and get ready just in case I took too long.

I went over to my shower and turned the water on to the hot setting. When the temperature was right I stepped in and let the hot jets hit my body. They eased the tension in my body. I finished shower and stepped out. I wrapped myself in a towel and went over the the mirror. I noticed my bruises were barely noticeable now.

I went back to my room to choose my outfit. I chose a pair of medium wash denim high waisted shorts with a black Brandy Melville crop top. I went back into the bathroom and blow dried my hair. I decided to straighten my hair since we probably weren't going somewhere fancy. I painted my nails and toenails a neon pink to make myself look tanner.

I went back into my room and put on a couple random rings. I put on my red hightop converse for my shoes.

I walked downstairs and made myself my favorite strawberry and banana smoothie for breakfast. I went on my phone and I had a text from Shawn.

"Hey babe, I'm so excited for our date 😘"

"Hey cutie, me too! I can't wait!😊"

"I'll pick you up in 20 minutes!"

"Sounds good! see ya then 😘"

"Bye gorgeous ❤️"

I walked up to my room skipping the whole way. I was pretty excited. I skipped to the bathroom and finished up my makeup. I put on a bit of sparkly eyeshadow, mascara, and some loose face powder. I was completely done when I heard the doorbell ring. I grabbed some money and stuffed it in my pocket, and grabbed my phone.

I opened the door to a smiling Shawn.

"hi beautiful" he leaned down giving me a quick peck on my lips.

We walked to his jeep and he helped me in. Such a gentlemen.

"So where are we going?"

"it's a surprise" he said smiling.

I shook my head giggling and looks out the window. While he was driving he reached for my hand, he looked over and smiled. I did the same and have gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

We pulled into a carnivals parking lot. I squealed with excitement. I love carnivals! He laughed and parked the jeep. We both got out and went to the entrance. Once we were in we went to bumper cars. I bumped into Shawn's car so many times that I lost count, we were both laughing uncontrollably.

We got done with the bumper cars and walked away.

"Let's go on that" Shawn pointed to probably the biggest roller coaster ride I've ever seen. It went upside down and had a bunch of loopty loops. (that's what I call them lol)

"umm I'm scared of roller coasters"

"I'll be there with you, don't be scared" Shawn said holding my hand.

I reluctantly nodded and we went over to the line. It was very short, people were probably scared of the ride. We got into the ride and my hands started shaking.

Shawn pulled me closer to him and put his arms around me, comforting me.

"hey it's okay, im here" he whispered, he rubbed circles on my skin, relaxing me.

The ride started and we started going to the top of the ride. I squeezed my eyes shut. We dipped down and I got butterflies in my stomach. I started giggling and opened my eyes. Shawn was laughing next to me. The ride wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

After going on a couple more rides it started getting dark. We decided to go on the Ferris wheel before we left. There were beautiful lights covering the ride. We got into our cart. I leaned my head on Shawn's shoulder as Shawn wrapped both his arms around me.

We got to the top and we both looked down.

"Wow it's beautiful up here" I thought aloud.

"Yeah it is" I looked over to Shawn who was staring at me.

We both leaned in until our lips met. We had a slow passionate kiss. The kind that makes you smile after pulling away.

We got off the ride and made our way to the car. We held hands again during the drive. When we got to my house Shawn walked me to the front door.

"I had an amazing time" I said wrapping my hands around his neck.

"I did too" he said wrapping his hands around my waist.

I reached up and gave him a quick kiss.

"Goodnight" I said against his lips.

He kissed me one more time.

"goodnight Beautiful"

I smiled and went inside. I walked up the stairs to my room and changed into pajamas. I crawled into bed. I fell asleep smiling thinking about today.
