Chapter 13

Ariana's POV

The moment we walked in we were greeted with red cups. I looked at mine, I was positive it had alcohol. I was about to take a sip, since I hadn't had any in while, but Shawn took it away before I could.

"Trust me, you don't want any of that" he told me assuringly.

I nodded my head because I hadn't partied in awhile, I used to be the the party girl at my old school but then I stopped to help my mom, she was going through a rough time. I looked around the house, taking in my surrounding. Thick smoke filled the whole house, there were people holding red cups everywhere, it was very hot so I'm glad my dress was a bit shorter. The dance floor had lights going everywhere, the music was unbelievably loud, there were bodies on the dance floor some were grinding on people, some were just dancing with the music.

"I forgot to tell you, you look stunning" Shawn whispered into my ear, sending a shiver through my body.

I blushed, "You don't look too bad yourself".

I turned around and wrapped my hands around his neck. I gave him a quick peck on the lips, and smiled at him. I turned to look at the party. The girls and guys had made their way to the dance floor. I led Shawn to where they were just as the song changed to Guap. I looked over at the girls and we all started rapping along to the song.

We all were dancing and soon the whole dance floor was rapping with us. While I was dancing with Shawn, a couple of guys checked my butt out. Shawn gave them a glare as if

to warn them he'd kill them if they kept it up. He pulled the bottom of my dress down trying to conceal me, and he covered me with his towering height. His tense muscles showing through his shirt was enough to have the guys scattering away.

"Let's get something to drink" he suggested still glaring at the guys.

He took my hand and took me to the kitchen. He managed to find some waters and handed me one. I took a big gulp, I hadn't noticed how thirsty I was.

We walked outside, it was getting pretty dark. We went over to the girls and the guys, and some other random drunk people from our school. They were playing truth or dare but a very drunken version.

I went over and sat down with the girls while Shawn sat across from me with the guys. Camryn and Liz were already pretty drunk, so they were acting really funny, they were saying the funniest things.

"I need to check on my unicorn, I got it a new tutu" slurs Liz. She's obviously very drunk. I look over to Jacy and we burst out laughing. We start paying attention to the game, after laughing with Liz and Camryn.

"Ariana" I looked over to the voice. It was Cameron. "Truth or Dare?" he slurs.

"Dare" I say surprising myself along with everyone else. I want to have fun tonight, so why not.

"I dare you to take a shot" he says while giggling for no reason.

I'm handed a shot glass that's full of tequila. Oh well, I bring the cup to my lips and the liquid burns my throat. I bring the cup down and people cheer. I laugh, the alcohol already making me feel looser.

After about 10 minutes, Shawn's taken a shot and drank some whiskey, Matt kissed Jacy, Camryn made out with Hayes, and Liz got even more drunk then before, I took some more shots and was a bit drunk.

We got tired of the game the game and started a new one. I don't know the name everything's fuzzy, something like have you ever or have I never, I'm not sure. But this game we had to take a drink of whatever was in our cups if we had done it.

"gotten arrested"

All the guys and Shawn took a drink, I'm surprised. I knew they were bad I didn't know they'd been arrested before.

"gone pretty far" said some drunk guy with a smirk.

ugh disgusting I thought. Shawn and the guys took another drink. this made me frown.

People said some more things and

you guessed it, Shawn took even more drinks. At this point he was giving me a look as if apologizing. He had guilt written in his eyes.

I want to have fun. Not listen to this shit. I stand up and take a bottle of whiskey with me. I walk into the house. Shawn's following me, I can hear his footsteps. I take a long swig of the whiskey, it burns my throat even more than the whiskey did, but in a way it feels good. My body is slowly warming up due to the alcohol.

I walk over the dance floor just as Shawn walks in. I start dancing along with the beat of the song. I feel hands on my waist, I know they aren't Shawn's, these hands are much more rougher and are trying to pull my dress up. I turn around to some drunk senior. I push him off of me, but he brings me back to him. I struggle

against his strong grasp.

"Shawn" I scream desperately.

I look over the crowd and instantly meet Shawn's eyes. He sees the fear in my eyes and shoves everyone out of his way. He gets to me and he pushed the guy away from me. He gives him a hard punch to the face which makes him fall to the ground. I gasp, he still isn't done yet. He kicks him in the ribs twice. Shawn's strength making him groan. I have to stop him before he kills the the disgusting guy.

"Shawn. stop. you'll kill him." I shout.

Shawn gives him one last punch, then storms outside, with my hand in his. His knuckles are bruised and bloody

due to his punches.

"are you okay" he abruptly turns around to face me once we are outside. He cups his hands around my face and checks for any signs of hurt or fear in my eyes. His mood instantly changes from anger to caring.

"I'm fine" I say looking down.

"No you're not" he says reaching back to my face. "listen, I'm not very proud of my past, but I've changed for the better, I've changed for you, I'm not that same player or bad person I used to be. I care for you more than anyone I've even been with. I would never take advantage of you, I would never hurt you. I like you so "

Before he could finish I smashed my lips to his. He instantly kissed back. He wrapped his arms around me and I wrapped mine around him. He pulled me closer into him.

We pulled away and I stared into his eyes. Goodness, I'm falling for this boy fast.
