Uriah and I get back to the Dauntless compound right before my curfew that night. I don't even bother with getting food, I'm so caught up in my thoughts and emotions that I don't really feel like eating.
"Thank you for tonight Uriah. It was exactly what I needed." I tell him, and give him a hug.
"Same here. See you later, Ari." Uriah says, and we part ways.
I walk into the Transfer dorm, and the only people there are Blake, Cole, and Sterling. Blake sees the adrenaline-filled look on my face, and raises her eyebrows in question.
"Where were you?"
"Zip lining with Uriah. It was a good escape for a bit." I tell them, and they seem satisfied with my answer.
"What did you pick for your sentence?" Sterling asks, and Blake takes my hand and pulls me to the bed she was sitting at. Instead of sitting down, I lie down on the bed, with my head on Blake's lap.
"Equipment cleaning." I tell him.
"I'm doing that one too." Sterling says, and I smile.
"What did the others pick?" I ask.
"Connor and Meg are doing the kitchens. Hayley and Blake are doing the dining hall. And Zac and I are doing initiate quarters." Cole answers, and I nod.
I wonder, now that I have cut myself off from Eric, if he will up the consequences, just to make my life hell. We'll just have to wait and see.
Instead of talking more, we retreat to our own beds, and go to sleep, as our final test is tomorrow.
"Goodnight guys." Blake says, and we all mumble our goodnights before silence takes over the room once more.
Because of my adventure today, sleep takes over quickly, which is perfectly fine by me.

All twenty four initiates are seated in a waiting room, and everyone is nervous. Our crew of eight is pretty calm, but the eight people that were below the red line are bouncing off the walls. This test won't really change their ranking, unless they pull out a bottle of liquid bravery. They're too far gone.
Tobias and Eric walk in, making everyone sit down and quietly await instruction.
"We will be calling you in alphabetical order, by your last name. You will enter the room, where our five leaders will be watching, and a few representatives from Erudite. Tori or myself will administer your serum, and you will face all of your fears. Conquer them and lower your heart rate as fast as possible for the best results. Eric?" Tobias passes the floor over to Eric, and everyone visibly shrinks at the ruthless leader.
"We will be looking for acts of bravery. Conquer your fears bravely, and you will have a good result. As soon as you are done your test, you are free to do as you please until 6pm, which is dinner and the final results. There is a party after supper, at 8pm, and you will be then allowed to drink as you will be official Dauntless members." Eric says, and he grins smugly at our group, because we won't be there. You colossal asshat.
And with that, the roll call begins.
"Abbott, Blake." We all encourage her, and Cole gives her extra encouragement in the form of a kiss on the cheek. Meg, Hayley, and I say 'aww' and both of them turn red. Blake disappears, and that leaves the boys to tease Cole.
There are two more people after Blake before I hear my name.
"Dalton, Arielle." Tobias says, his voice void of emotion. I follow him into the room, and there are so many people here to watch, one of them being Jeanine Matthews and my own father. He looks at me with little emotion on his face.
