『February 14th』

It's the day before the final moment. Are you ready?

We made Valentine's Day chocolate in home economics. Naho made Kakeru chocolate and gave it to him. This is the day everything went wrong. She chose the wrong person. At this point, I don't even know what to do. It's up to Kakeru, if he chooses you than everything will be okay. My praying is that he will chose the right person. Do anything you can, change the future.

I believe in you.

Good luck.

I placed the dark chocolate in the teal striped box. I tied the Tiffany colored bow on top as Maria clapped. "He's gonna love it." She smiled as she held up her red one. She had been flirting with a boy named Subaru who she met at the athletic meet. He had been in her class but she never noticed him.

"If he doesn't accept your feelings I'm gonna punch him." I smiled nudging her side as we cleaned up our station.

"Same, I'm not afraid to hurt Kakeru." She smirked, me giving her an eye roll.

I planned to give him my chocolate after school, so after class I put in my locker before he walked up to me.

"Hiding something?" He asked peering over my shoulder. I shut my locker and turned towards him.

"You wish." My legs and lower back was against the locker as he walk closer to me. Before he could say anything I glanced down at the bag in his hands. "Who gave you that?"

He took a step back and raised the bag. "Oh, just some freshman girl, I barely know her." He shrugged as I raised an eyebrow.

"Really? She confessed to you?" I asked as he shook his head.

"Even if she did I wouldn't go out with her." I lightly smiled to myself as he looked to floor. "I won't go out with anyone."

I instantly frowned at that. "Are you serious?"

Two boys from the soccer called Kakeru's name as he waved goodbye and walked off towards them. I sighed and trudged to my next class.

He didn't sit with us at lunch today, so it was just Maria and I. I told her about what he said as she only sucked her teeth. Telling me how she doesn't believe him. "Just go for it, he denies you feelings what's the worse that could happen?" She shrugged as I picked at my food.

Suwa dies.

When we were back in class I wrote a note to Kakeru. I whisper to the guy behind me to give it to him as he nodded, passing the message to the back of my row.

Five minutes later the guy behind me tapped on my shoulder and handed me back a note.

'Gonna tell me what you're hiding?'

I folded the note and put in on my desk, I paid attention to the lesson. He once told me that'd he'd pick me over any girl, I just hope it's still the case.

Once class was over I packed up quickly and left. The chocolate was already in my bag and I followed the briskly moving Kakeru to the shoe lockers.

"You know." I gasped, completely out of breath. "I love seeing you wear the scarf."

He picked up something from his locker as he placed it down. "I love wearing it."

I took a step closer as I handed him the small teal box. "Happy Valentine's Day."

He looked at the box with a large smile on his face. "Thank you!"

"I wanted to-"

"Kakeru!" Naho ran in, gasping for breath as I looked to the floor. I sighed angrily as he asked about my well being.
