After that day, Kakeru was gone for two weeks.
I attempted to read further ahead in my notes, yet it was futile. None of it made any sense. The only one I had to focus on was for tomorrow, the day Kakeru was supposed to be back.
『April 20th』
You guys should've already picked sports by now, you choosing Volleyball cause you've always been good. (Trying not to toot my own horn here)
When you're on break, go outside. Talk with Kakeru, you have to beat Naho (that jerk) to it first. Stick around afterwards, avoid going home for a bit. Just trust me.
Also, sub in for Naho. The first pitch is curve and the second is low inside.
If you're anything like myself (which you should be cause we're the same person) you've tried reading ahead, trying to make some sense of this.
It doesn't. But there is an explanation of why you have to beat Naho to Kakeru, and why this has anything to do with your brother.
Beating Naho, she's the key that belongs to your brother.
"[Name]?"
I slightly jumped in shock, placing the note down quickly I turned towards the doorway. My arm shielded Suwa's view of the papers as he walked into my bedroom.
"Yeah Suwa?"
He holds up a white envelope, shutting the door behind him. My ears perk up to the sound of a rustling bag and instantly I stands from her chair.
"You got me curry buns!" I exclaimed giddily, skipping over to the bag in his hand. Him and I take a seat on my [Favorite Color] covers. A gleeful smile takes over my face as I take out one of the curry buns. Humming lightly I rip open the clear wrapper and touch the smooth bread.
"The letter you got.. What was it about."
The hot fluid of the curry was currently soaking its goodness in my tastebuds. In order to enjoy this moment I put my finger up to motion to give me a minute. Swallowing I then opened my mouth. "You might not believe me but it was from the future."
"Ten years from now."
He finishes my sentence and I nod. When I received it was hard to believe it was even true. Yet the writing was the same it had evidence that it was from me. No one knew that my mother had told me to write in a journal, and the only reason she did that was because I didn't want to talk about what was going on at that time.
"I messed up the first request, I invited Kakeru.." His look was unexplainable, I don't think he knew what to think about the letter or anything for that matter.
"I tried to stop him." He looked towards me who was taking another bite out of the dark bread. "He honestly wanted to do it, so whatever he was supposed to do probably wasn't important."
He nodded, confident in my statement. It wasn't like I would lie since there was no reason to.
"Is that why you brought these? Butter me up before questioning me?" I pointed the half eaten bun in his direction as he reached into the bag himself.
"I just wanted some sis and bro time." He nudges my arm and I give him a slightly disgusted look. He drops the act and takes a bite of his bread. He pulls out his notes and hands me a picture.
Taking it from his hands my eyes gaze upon an older version of himself and Naho standing beside him. A small child was in between the two, them forming what seemed a happy family.
