Xxxtentacion died yesterday. It breaks my heart so much knowing that a man that touched so many people, including myself was gone so fast. Sorry to be so pessimistic after such a long time^^ I hope you guys enjoy.

『August 7th』

"Kakeru's here! Assume texts!"

Azusa pointed towards Kakeru who was wearing a dark blue yukata. He had just arrived with Naho and we all pulled out our phone. Reluctantly I did the same, pulling out my [Phone Color] phone and sending a message to Kakeru. I didn't have Naho's number, I didn't typically speak to her unless I needed to.

The pair got the messages and Kakeru offered to go the festival anyway, she shyly nodded as he led the way. Azusa pumped her fist and cheered quietly.

"Alright now let's have some fun!"

From then, I got to know them more and more. It was surly fun, I never new how much Takako was a big fan of cotton candy. When the sun set and we ate we stopped to rest, Hagita singing and looking out onto the night sky.

"Maybe we should start heading over there." Suwa said, throwing away kabob stick. "I'm gonna stop at Mickey D's first."

Hagita decided on going along with him, the girls and I going off to find Naho.

As soon as we did she was alone. Azusa lied and said it took so long cause of crowds. Naho seemed to understand and asked where the boys went. I had told her before Azusa asked her a question.

"'Where's Kakeru?"

Naho slightly turned her body and pointed. "He's over there.." She trailed off at the sight of an empty bench, her phone soon buzzed as she took it out and told us it was from him. "Thank you for a good evening, I'm going home." She read, me giving a small sigh.

"What'd you do?"

She shook her head in protest. "I only asked about his mom! He prayed to her earlier and I was just asking about her.."

"I'll go find him, he can't be that far."

I began to walk as Naho called out, "let me go with you!"

I shook my head, turning around for a brief second. "It's gonna be really depressing! Don't worry about it I got this!"

I ran off after that, calling out Kakeru's name before I saw him. He was on a bench outside of the festival. I sat down beside him, he had his head in his hands.

"I thought you weren't gonna make it."

I wrapped an arm behind his neck and brought it closer to me. "I said I was running late idiot."

He moved away from me, "I'm sorry, I'm not really in the mood right now.."

"Naho told me."

He grimaced, looking away from me.

"She didn't tell me what happened but just that you talked about your mom." He stayed silent. He was breathing heavily, he might break down out here. "Let's go."

I stood up and stuck out my hand. He looked up at me, his eyes lingering with question and intense sadness. He stood up and took my hand, a smile gracing my face as I brought took him to my house. He didn't say anything, he kept his head down the whole time up to the point where I opened the door with my key.

"Suwa is that you?"

"It's just me Aunt Sarah!" I yelled as she entered the room with laundry. She was stunned by Kakeru's presence, looking at our intertwined hands. Removing my grip from his I told her I brought a friend over and said we were going to my room.

"Okay, but no funny business."

I guided Kakeru upstairs and to my room before shutting the door. He stood awkwardly before I sat on the bed and patted the spot next to me. He sat beside me and his cheeks soon got wet. He sniffled and wiped his face, I got up to get a box of tissues and handed it to him. He lightly smiled at the movie like gesture before putting it beside him.

"Kakeru. You are not alone." I spoke, looking at my hands. He did nothing except listened to my every word. "It's hard to lose someone you love. I lost both my parents."

He looked up at me, he had stopped sniffing. It was completely silent for a minute, the soft sounds of our breathing heard.

"They were divorced, I lived with my mother.. I still kept contact with my father until he.." Trailing off I swallowed thickly. "He died." I stood up and walked towards my desk. I picked up a picture of my whole family before walking back to the bed. "My mother died not to long after that."

I handed him the picture frame as he shook his head. "You're so happy, and you don't have any regrets.."

I laughed. "Everyone has regrets Kakeru, do you remember what I told you?" He nodded, so I began to explain further. "After the divorce, I talked to no one about it so my mom was worried. But I always wished I could've done something. I regret not saying anything to them. I regret talking back, I have a lot of them Kakeru. I learn to move past these regrets, I couldn't have them take over my life and cloud ever decision I made." I reached for his hand and gave it a squeeze. "Please don't let it happen to you. During my dark days I had Suwa and his parents but they couldn't understand. All of my thoughts about how my life was meaningless, they would never understand. You have all of us, we may not always understand but we're here for you. I don't know what I'd do if I lost someone like you."

He looked up at me and gave a sincere thank you. I retracted my hand and he handed back the picture, and actually telling me the full story of his life. What he was a child, his father and his mother, how and when she died. How he second guessed whether he should see her when I told him he could go.

"It's getting late, my grandmother is going to get worried. Thank you for today." He stood up and smoothed out his indigo clothing. I stood up and let him out before waving a goodbye. He turned and continued down the street me closing the door. My aunt emerged once again, asking me about the boy.

"He's my friend. He's going through a rough time now."

Turning away from the door I faced her and thanked her for letting me bring him here. I tend not to bring people home because this isn't my home. Only the occasional Maria but we usually hang out somewhere or her house.

Please listen to me Kakeru..
