Law and Sanji stood in shock as they watched the room's content. Its horrible smell filled their noses and its darkness seemed to swallow them whole.
This room which had held the kidnapped children in captivity for months. The kids seemed to be from age 5 to 15 and everyone were tied to the walls using rope. They had gags and blindfolds on them as well. Law and Sanji quickly made their way inside and took opposite sides to untie them all.
Law had one person left on his side and he only then noticed that this guy was tied up with chains. Law noted that the guy had shoulder long, raven hair and was heavily injured, unlike the rest. He was barely breathing as well. Half dead. He had a thick, iron collar that was tied to the ceiling which held his head in place. His gag was made out of iron as well. Law cursed himself since he couldn't help the last guy that well, but he removed the gag and blindfold.
The teen slowly opened his eyes and was met with Law's golden ones. Law's whole being was drowned in nostalgia when he saw the ocean blue eyes peering into his own. But when the teen in front of him moved his mouth to talk, Law listened closely.
"Do you... Have them?" He asked and Law didn't know what he meant.
"Have what?" He asked and the boy coughed a bit and slowly whispered out 'The numbered...' Law could barely hear him talk and he didn't even know what he meant so he slowly shook his head. The teen smiled a little.
"Get the kids out of here... I'm begging you." He whispered but Law didn't move. He wanted to get him out as well. He had to.
Law searched his pocket for something that he could use to stop the other's bleeding and maybe even to get him out but his hand was met with the keys he had put in there. The shiny, silver keys with numbers embedded in them.
The numbered ones.
"Are you fucking kidding me?!" Law cursed out loud and tried every key on the guy's chains. 3 was the only one that worked, the rest were useless.
When he got off the collar, the now freed teen fell into his chest, not having enough strength to stand. Law noted that his shirt was completely ripped, showing off all the deep scars on his body, plus something that resembled a burn mark.
"Sanji, are the others hurt?" Law asked but Sanji said that everyone was okay. Not a scratch on them. Law hummed and his frown deepened. He took the raven teen in his arms and carried him out of there, bridal style. Sanji walked a little bit behind and all of the kids went with them. Law didn't say anything, but he thought it was too easy to just get them and they won. He thought the enemy would be a harder fight. He didn't like this at all.
When they got out of the house, Law felt a pull on his pants and glanced down towards a small boy, probably around 6 years old.
"Mister, please, save him. He took all the pain so we would be fine. Please... Please don't let him die!" The boy cried and Law's eyes shot up in shock. He nodded slightly to the boy after he got his senses back.
"I won't let him die. He'll be fine with me." Law reassured the boy who dried his tears and then took Sanji's hand so they could leave. Sanji held the compass in his hand and took the front to lead the team through the forest. But they didn't move far. Everyone was on edge. It was so silent. Nothing like before. It still rained, but it was so silent.
A loud crack suddenly echoed through the forest which made them jump up and turned around in shock. A wall to the house now had a huge hole in it.
And suddenly fire engulfed the black house completely. The already broken windows exploded whilst both fire and black smoke erupted everywhere. The kids were happy since their prison was burning, Sanji was happy as well. Law, however, wasn't. His eyes were wide, mouth open.
