Law woke up the next day with his upper body lying on Luffy's bed. He rose up from the chair and stretched his body, hearing the satisfying popping noises from his joints.

Luffy was still soundly asleep, but his expression was... Not expected. He looked scared, terrified even.

Law sighed and went through his backpack in search of his phone's charger and found the small plastic bag with the SD card in. His computer was upstairs in his room but he was too lazy to go get it so he decided to look through it later. Maybe with Sanji sometime.

Once he found the charger he pulled it out and plugged it into the wall and then his phone. He sat back down on the chair beside Luffy and played games on his phone, then he went on News Coo and saw the news about the lost kids who he and Sanji had found in the house.

[Yesterday night, the marines successfully found the kidnapped children and safely brought them home. Who the kidnappers are is still unknown...]

Law clicked his tongue when he read the clearly fake damn news but a comment on the matter piqued his interest a bit.

'What about Luffy?! He was the first victim to all of this and he hasn't returned home!! Where the fuck is he?!'

The user was anonymous but he seemed to know Luffy.

As Law went through different apps and songs on his phone, trying to kill his boredom, Luffy's heart monitor suddenly went crazy. Luffy's breathing became hasty and heavy, the plastic piece over his mouth and nose becoming dimmed with every breath. Law quickly rose from his chair, wondering what was wrong and what he could do to stop it. Law wasn't thinking right, since he'd just woke up some minutes ago, so he just put his hand onto Luffy's forehead.

When he felt the cold hand on his warm forehead, Luffy's right eye snapped open, as the left side of his face was covered in bandages, and he started to thrash around in the bed, wanting to get away from the other.

Luffy ripped away his own oxygen mask and Law managed to grab his shoulders and press him down on the mattress again. He quickly noticed that Luffy's eye was dimmed and was looking around hastily to see who was holding him down. Was he blind?

"Oi." Law said and Luffy stopped moving, he only stared where he heard the voice call. "Can you see anything?" He asked and Luffy slowly shook his head. "Has it always been like this?" Luffy once again shook his head and Law's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. If he wasn't blind, then why couldn't he see anything?

"Do you remember what happened to you?" Law asked him and Luffy flinched underneath Law's grasp. His eye teared up and once again shook his head and downcasted his really pale blue eye. Law sighed and let go of Luffy's shoulders and, luckily, Luffy didn't move. He didn't see the need to do so.

"I'm not gonna do anything to you." Law reassured Luffy and then heard him swallow down hard. "You want water?"

Luffy nodded and Law fetched his water bottle and handed it over to Luffy. Law watched him in silence until Luffy was done and slowly handed the bottle out to the side which he got it from. Law took it and put it down on the floor again. He then put his hand on Luffy's forehead and tried to slowly push him down on the mattress again but Luffy gripped his hand and fingers instead.

Sanji and Zoro came over later that day and were greeted by Lami who opened the door for them.

"Onii- chan and the others are inside the infirmary with a new friend. I don't know what they're doing though." She said and Sanji patted her head, saying it's okay that she didn't know. He and Zoro then walked inside the room and were met with a rather... Cute scene.
