Chapter XI

The town was loud. Irritating. People were laughing and talking to each other happily. Law didn't.

"Mugiwara- ya!?" He screamed again, it felt like he'd said his name a thousand times now. Law's throat was dry and it ached. He stopped by a bench and tried to catch his breath. Law checked his phone but none of his friends or family had texted him. None had found him.

"That damn idiot really is lost..." Law mumbled between his breaths. Law started to run again, people around him glanced towards him when he flew past, screaming that name.

"Mugiwara- ya!?" Law ran past a small shop in town, passing a man with a black cloak and red hair.

"Mugiwara- ya?" The man mumbled as he took a bite of his popsicle. He watched Law running away and he then continued walking the other way.

Law's throat hurt more and more. He was tired and his voice was hoarse. Law breathed in and called his name again.

"LUFFY!?"

Sanji and Zoro were jogging through East Blue. Law had told them that Luffy was completely gone from the house and the two also went to search for him.

"Can't believe we have to search for that bastard again." Sanji grumbled and Zoro agreed.

"If he left then he probably tried to go home. We can ask people around, everyone knows Luffy around here." Zoro said and jogged over to ask a woman if she'd seen him.

"Luffy- kun? He didn't get kidnapped again, did he?!" She asked and looked very worried. Zoro said they didn't know. She tried to remain calm and told the two that she didn't know where Luffy was. They thanked her and jogged away. After a little while they saw someone they knew very well and both ran over to the man who grinned at them.

Law was exhausted. He was sweating a lot under the hot summer sun. Law couldn't see clearly, but he was in front of a building that smelled like alcohol. After some unsteady steps he fainted.

"My, my, another fainted kid here... Inazuma! Get a bed ready!"

Law woke up after an hour. He was lying on a bed, it was soft.

'You miss him?' A faint voice spoke and Law shot up from the bed in shock. When he turned to his side he saw Luffy beside him in another bed, back against Law.

"Mugiwara- ya?" Law whispered and sighed out in relief. "I'm glad you're not hurt..."

"I'm sorry." Law looked at Luffy, but he still had his back against him. "I'm sorry I ran away. I wanted to go home. I didn't wanna be a burden."

"Who said you were? I don't think so. Neither does my family, they like you." Law answered and Luffy flinched.

"What about you..? Do you like me..?" Luffy whispered out, sniffling.

"I guess? I don't hate you. You're nice company." Law answered and stood up and pushed Luffy on his back. "That's nothing to cry about. What'd make you think that?"

"Myself." Luffy answered and Law sighed out. Luffy was blind again. Dammit.

"How'd you get out?" Law asked and Luffy's eyes shot up in fear. Law got shocked and stepped back.

"I- I just- I-..." Luffy stammered a lot and Law told him he didn't have to tell now.

"I'm gonna step outside and see where we are, I'll be back." Law said and opened the door and walked out, closing it behind him. Law leaned against the door and was shocked. Luffy's eyes seemed to glow, but that's impossible!

"I'm still tired from running around all day..." Law mumbled and messaged everyone he'd found Luffy and would bring him back soon. "Excuse me? Anyone here?" Law asked and heard footsteps from his side.

"Ah! Vi see vyou've woken up!" A man shouted, he was tall, had a purple afro and a lot of makeup. Damn.

"Uh, yeah. Where am I? Who're you?" Law asked and then introduced himself. "The other one is-"

"Luffy, yes, Vi know him." The purple afro guy said and Law raised an eyebrow. "My name is Ivankov! Vi'm the owner of this bar!" He said and smiled. It was damn creepy.

"Can I bring him home?" Law asked and Ivankov thought a little while but then nodded.

"Of course!" He said and Law thanked him and walked towards the room Luffy was in.

"I wanna go back... I want my sight back. You know what happened, you were out more than me. What did you do?!" Luffy's voice was faint through the door but Law heard a little of it. He was confused. Who was he talking to?

"...Talk....Sight..." Luffy was talking too low now. Law opened the door once he'd gotten completely quiet.

"Hey, we're going home. You have everything on you?" Law asked and Luffy nodded. His face was empty of emotions. Law took Luffy's straw hat and put it on Luffy's head. "I'll carry you, ok?" Law asked and Luffy nodded again as he brought out his arms for the piggy- back. He was silent.

"We're in Kamabakka Bar if you were wondering." Law then said and Luffy hummed. "The owner said he knew you. Ivankov. You know him?" Luffy nodded again and Law felt Luffy's head fall on his. Luffy had fallen asleep again.

"For fuck's sake, how much can one kid sleep.. It's one thing for Zoro- ya but this is literally ridiculous." Law mumbled silently to himself as he walked out. Ivankov kindly held the door open for him.

"See ya!" He said and winked to them, Law just thanked him again and left.

The long, hot walk home was hell on Earth. Law's feet were probably burning right now. Soon, Law reached the outskirts of Flevance and met his parents.

"Oh my god, you found him Law! How is he?" Law's mother asked and Law said he was fine. "Oh by the way, we have a visitor at home right now, so remember your manners!" She continued and Law's dad and younger sister showed some plastic bags with drinks and desserts they just bought.

"Sure." He replied and felt Luffy nussle on his head. 'Weirdo.' Law thought to himself.

"Zoro- kun, Sanji- kun, we're back!" Law's mother said as they opened the door. Luffy woke up when she called. Then his head suddenly perked up as he sniffed the air.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Law asked since he heard Luffy sniff from his back. Law's family walked towards the living room and so did Law, Luffy on his back still. On the couch was Sanji and Zoro, talking to an unknown man. He looked cool. He turned to them and smiled brightly.

"Luffy!" He called as he shot up from the couch and almost ran towards the two. He picked Luffy up from Law's back and the two hugged each other, both with tears in their eyes.

"Shanks!" Luffy called and Law had heard of that name before, but it wasn't recent.

Law suddenly felt weird. He felt like something in his mind snapped and he fell to the floor, gripping his head as he heard screams, loud screams. And fire.

'..... Finally.'
