Morty eyes flew open. He sat up in the hospital bed and looked around at the Ricks that surrounded him.
"Where... am I?" He asked.
"The hospital at the Citadel. You and your Rick were shot by a {Y/N}." One of the Ricks said. "Do you remember which dimension you're from, Morty?"
"C-782." Morty muttered in a monotone voice.
"And your Rick?"
"C-782 also." Morty blinked. He paused and held his right eye in confusion.
A Rick spoke up. "Cybernetic eye and brain implants. Your Rick has the same brain implants. It replaced the pieces of the brain damaged. The eye is sensitive to light, so you'll have to wear this for a while." The Rick handed Morty a black eyepatch. Morty took the eyepatch and tied it over his right eye.
"Where is he." Morty said sternly.
"Your Rick is in the next room." Another Rick said.
Morty stood up from the hospital bed and walked out of the room. He walked into his Rick's hospital room. Rick was sitting in bed, as if he was waiting for Morty. He looked up at Morty when the door opened. A scar was left on Rick's lips and cheek from the bullet. There were dark circles under his sunken eyes.
"Morty!! You--"
"Shut the hell up. You got us both killed. For that, I'm in charge." Morty grabbed a scalpel from a table and untied his eyepatch as he walked towards Rick. "Now come here. I have some rewiring to do."
