"Get up!! Get up, get up, get up!! C'mon!! Quick!"

You stand up, unsure of what's happening. Sprinting footsteps rush down the hallway, getting closer and closer. You grip the bars on your door to get a closer look at who or what is running towards you. Your eyes lock with the emerald green eyes you love so much.
"K-KATYA!!" You scream, overjoyed. Katya unlocks your door, and immediately pulls you into a long overdue embrace. Hope pumps through your artificial veins and forms tears in your eyes. You kiss her cheek and get a good look at her, stepping back when you look down at her leg.
"Your leg! It's—"
"It's bleeding, I know, we can fix it later!!" Katya rushes her words and grabs your robotic wrist. "We gotta get outta here!"
Before you can even say "I missed you," she begins sprinting towards a large door, clutching the strap of a backpack she's holding. She stops you in front of it, looking at a keypad similar to the ones in the Capital.
"Do your thing!!" She shouts, balling your skeletal hand into a fist. You know exactly what to do, punching the keypad with all the might of a bald superhero you saw on TV once. The panel sparks and the door slides open. A small room opens up, containing shelves of weapons and guns. Katya instantly grabs Bonnibel and her own portal gun. Unable to locate your own weapon, you grab a generic portal gun and spot a cool looking rifle. You grab it, looking at the almost militant design.
"That's a pulse rifle," Katya states, "in my dimension, the US military used them during the Eight Winter's War, essentially the second Cold War. I considered getting it while looking for a gun. Good choice, reliable. Won't jam."
You look to the other end of the hallway to see a literal army of feral Mortys charging at you and Katya. Before you can even turn off the safety, Katya has already taken five of them out. She glances away from her scope to give you a wink.
"Told you I was a good shot." She chuckles, taking out three more Mortys with shots right between the eyes. You lock and load, opening fire into the oncoming mob of Mortys. Each one falls to the floor, but it's like they keep coming and won't stop coming. Like they're multiplying. You suddenly get an idea. Quickly, you set up your portal gun and shoot one onto the floor, causing the group of rabid Mortys to fall into a portal leading to an active volcano. Though it's risky, your gut tells you to move forward. You slowly walk forward, still shooting.

Damn, it's like this gun doesn't end!
Do I even need to reload?

You eventually start running into the mob, going all out. You start getting creative, bashing your rifle into the Mortys' faces and stomachs, pushing them into each other. Katya can barely keep up with you. You both charge past the crowd and arrive at the other side. Katya takes something out of her belt and holds it tightly in her hand.
"Is that a fucking grenade!?" You exclaim, slamming your fist into another control panel.
"Picked it up." She shrugs, pulling out the pin with her long teeth and swiftly throwing the grenade into the mob of Mortys. She frantically pushes you into the other room and shuts the door. Your breathing is labored as you attempt to calm down. Your back presses against the door and you slide down until you're sitting on the floor. Katya freezes.
"Stop."
"What—"
"Don't. Move. Don't. Blink. Don't. Even. Breathe."
You look up at what she's staring at. Before you stands a slender humanoid figure that has to be over eight feet tall. Your eyes travel up its body to its head. It doesn't even have a head... it's... a computer screen. The screen glows a bright white, creating an almost flashlight-like light around you and Katya. You have no idea what this thing is... but it's scaring the shit out of you.
This... thing... stares at you for a good forty five seconds before turning around and slowly shambles in the other direction.
"What... the hell... was that..." your voice squeaks, your body still paralyzed with fear.
"They're called Cameramen..." Katya says, holding your hand, "Genetically engineered humans... no, they're barely even humans anymore. They can't see, hear, or speak... they just find you. When they do, they alert other Cameramen to your location. No use shooting them. If they're shot after they're alerted, they'll still attract others. I came across a few while in the Soviet laboratory. The only reason a facility would have these would be because they're hiding something. We should get going. If you walk into their light, do not move a muscle. They can't alert anyone if you're not moving."
You and Katya begin running, dodging Cameramen and weaving through what seems like a maze. After almost a half hour of running, you stop and sigh.
"There's no way out!!" You groan. "I can't see an exit anywhere!"
Katya reaches into her backpack and takes out a strange looking injector. "I stole this from the lab here. I'm supposed to put this in the... occipital lobe...? That's the back of the brain..." Katya mutters to herself, holding your head still, "alright. One, two, three!"
A sharp needle shoots into the back of your head, causing you to wince. You blink multiple times, your vision warping and changing in strange ways.
"Okay... that's done. Now your irises should start glowing aqua." Katya looks you in the eyes. You see in the reflection of her eyes that yours are glowing. You look past her and see a glowing blue path on the floor. Other things start showing up in your eyes, like your current heart rate, your rifle's ammo count, an "active objective," and a bunch of other things you don't understand.
"This way!" You shout, following the path. Katya follows closely behind you.
"Isn't it cool?" She laughs.
"Yeah, but— how can I get rid of this!?" You exclaim, a bit panicked.
"Just say 'Deactivate Heads-Up Display.' To turn it on again, say 'Activate Heads-Up Display." Katya hands you a sticky note of commands, pointing at one. "Try this one."
"Okay... uh, Scan Environment for Potential Hostiles." You command. You stop and look around at the glowing blue outlines of the Cameramen limping throughout the maze. "Okay, uh, it says no the bottom left corner that there are nineteen hostiles. Eighteen unarmed... one armed."
"Little shit's got a gun," Katya growls, "luckily, so do we."
You both come to a screeching halt at a large door.
"The path ends here," you tell Katya, taking your rifle off safety, "the HUD says the armed hostile in that room is a Morty, identified as C-782. That's him, alright."
"{Y/N}," she sighs, "whatever happens in there, just know that I love you with everything I have."
You and Katya share a long kiss before you step back and kick down the door.
