1:47 in the afternoon and I was still lying in bed.
I went to sleep last night at 12 and I've tossed and turned for 13 hours, not getting one wink of sleep. My stomach tied into knots and did flips as I stared at my ceiling.
To say I was anxious was an understatement.

Tomorrow is the day.
The day I go to a stuffy business academy in New York.
We leave today for our flight, in literally two hours.
Unfortunately, Jaylen caught her flight back to Georgia yesterday, leaving me to face this alone (but not before I slipped Benny's phone number into her phone).

However, she promised to text and call me everyday.

A knock on my door snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Come in." I said half heartedly.

The door creaked open as someone walked in. Since my back was to the door, I couldn't see who it was, and I'm too lazy and stressed to turn around.

"You packed?" A voice said which I recognized as Adam's.

I sighed. "Yeah,"

"We had your stuff delivered from SCAD to the Wadlington campus. We leave for the airport in an hour." He replied sadly.

I nodded, although I doubt he could see it.
I felt a sudden dip in my bed, meaning he had sat down. Adam placed a reassuring hand on my back, letting me know how he was there supporting me.

"You gonna be okay?"

"No," I replied honestly. "But I'll get better."

He gave me one assuring pat before getting up and walking out, leaving me alone with my thoughts yet again. Once I was sure he was gone, I slowly slid out of my bed.
I shuffled across my room and over to where my things were placed neatly in the corner. Glancing over everything, I made a mental check that I remember to grab everything.
Once I was sure I had all my things, I grabbed my two bags and exited my room.
I carried them down the stairs and to the front door where Tumbles was placing my siblings bags into a car.

"Here's all my things, Tumbles," I murmured, my voice empty and hollow.

He half-heartedly grabbed the bags from me and gave me a small smile.

"Ma'am, although it might not be my place to say, I believe you'll shine just as bright at Wadlington as you did at SCAD. Carry on wayward son," He winked, referencing my all-time favorite song of which I played on repeat everyday as a teen.
