You'll Hate Him

Sky's POV

I'm shocked into silence. But only for about thirty seconds, because after all, it's me. I can't stay quiet for long.

"What?" I sputter. "Are you crazy? I just got you back safely, Ty, I'm not going to kill you!"

"You have to." Ty says, urgency in his voice. "Seriously. Before I hurt someone."

"What do you mean? You wouldn't hurt someone of your own free will!"

Ty looks me dead in the eye. I can see everything that he's gone through has left a dent on his personality. I'm not sure if we'll be able to smooth it out.

"Exactly." He says. "Just kill me."

"Not until you explain some of this to me, Ty! What in the Nether is going on?"

"I can't tell you." He says.

"Why not?"

"I'm just trying to protect you!" He yells.

I'm taken aback for a moment. "Protect me?"

I'm starting to feel a little ticked off. This is not how I imagined getting Ty back would be. "Don't try to be the hero, Ty. I don't know what you went through down there, but I'm sure it wasn't pleasant. But right now, you're in more trouble then I am. Just tell me!"

"You think I'm in more danger then you are? If I hadn't lost those headphones, we wouldn't be having this conversation!" He yells.

I stop. "Headphones? What about your headphones?"

He's said something he wants to take back. I can tell by the look on his face. "I shouldn't have said that, I should not have said that..." He mumbles to himself.

"What about your headphones, Ty?" I repeat.

I guess he decides on telling me, because he starts speaking really fast. "Listen. I don't have much time here. It's a miracle he hasn't stopped me yet."

"Who hasn't-"

"Please listen to me for a second. I need those headphones. Need them. Like really badly. You have no idea what happens when I don't have them."

Memories from a long time ago, before I gave him those headphones, resurface to the front of my head. He would disappear into his room without warning a lot. Does that have something to do with it?

"Please don't tell anyone. Just tell the doctors to keep my door locked 24/7. I can't leave here without them, or I'm a threat to everyone here. And I mean everyone. Please, Sky." There's a look of pleading in his eyes, and I know I have to do it.

"Okay, Ty. I promise. But you have to promise to tell me what this is all about after I get them."

"....as long as you promise not to hate me." He responds.

"Ty, you're pretty much my little brother, I would never hate you in a million years." I say as I start to leave.

As I shut the door to his room, I hear him say quietly, "You may not hate me, but you'll hate him."

MunchingBrotato's POV

We're a day away from the kingdom. We're so close.

I'm really excited to get back, because seekers don't come back very often with players.

Most of the members we have now were found by seekers a long time ago, and others stumbled upon the army by accident.

But a seeker, bringing back two players with them now? Practically unheard of.

"You two alright back there?" I turn around to look at them.

"Yeah, we're good Brotato." Shane smiles at me. We're friends now, and he seems to trust me. But Hope still hasn't warmed up to me yet. I think she's expecting for me to suddenly turn my back and kill her, though why I would do that, I have no idea.

I've tried to lighten the mood between us, but nothing's worked. It sucks, really, because I like to be friends with all of the army members.

It's hard to find friends when your out on your own, though.

I'm used to being alone, though. My Auntie Janet (A/N: see what I did there? :P) was killed in a squid attack. Even if she was harsh, and I mean really harsh, she was family. My only family.

I don't like to admit it, but I miss her.

And I also wonder how I was raised by her but somehow I'm sane.

Nevermind.

I take out my holographic map and almost jump for joy.

"I guess we're closer than a day!" I grin, and Shane and Hope instantly run toward me to see the map.

No matter how much Hope hates me, she doesn't want to be out here any longer than we do.

In the very corner of the map is a line of butter blocks, aka the entrance to the kingdom.

"How far is that?" Shane asks excitedly.

I check my time estimate. "Only ten hours left."

"Yes!" Shane yells, and even Hope smiles.

We're coming back, Sky Army.
