MARKS POV

"Ugh. Why did we have to have maths first thing? Who does that?!" these thoughts are rolling through my head at alarming speeds. "Who ever invented having maths first period I'm gonna kill 'em, even if their dead." I sit down and take my seat next to Jack.

"Mornin'." He whispers.

"Hey." I whisper back; his Irish accent is so cute!

We write down a few notes about values -which I have no idea what she's talking about-and begin work in our text books, which is trouble from the word go. But Jacks there right next to me. He guides me through the work slowly, even showing me a few simple shortcuts that simplify the problems down quickly. Before we know it, we're finished our work. I look up to see all but one person still doing their work.

Tyler.

If looks could kill, I would be dead thirty times over. His stare bores deep into me, as if I betrayed him. And I have. I am becoming friends with the new kid, not giving him a broken nose. Then he smiles and quietly laughs to himself. I know exactly what he was thinking. He's going to use this to blackmail me. He knows that if he told all but two of my friends (Patrick and Gerard), they would kill me. Almost literally. I look back over to Jack, who is going over his work. Fuck Tyler. People are allowed to change, and that's what I'm going to do. Change.
