JACKS POV

I don't want to go to school today. Not after yesterday. But when I look at my timetable, I see that I have no classes today with Mark. I think. So I decide to go to school. After I have breakfast, I go back to my room and pack my bag, and that is when I see Marks calculator on my desk. Looks like Marks just too attractive. I laugh at my lame attempt to cheer myself up. I pack it into my bag. I walk down stairs and lock the door. I look across the street and see that no one was there and began the walk to school.

MARKS POV

I'm tempted to tell Mum that I feel sick. But today is the greatest day of the school week; sports day. Lying in bed, I roll over and check the time. 7:30. if I get ready now I can leave here by 8. I won't have to see Jack. I get dressed, have breakfast, make lunch, rebandge my cut and walk out the door, all before 8 o'clock.

When I arrive at school, I only see Patrick and Gerard sitting together. I think I can trust them, so I'm going to tell them what happened yesterday. I walk over and sit myself across from them, and they look up from their phones.

"Hey, Mark, you're here real early," says Patrick.

"Yeah, well I need to tell you guys something, so please don't go blabbering anything of this to anyone, especially Tyler," I tell them, already knowing that they wouldn't do anything like that. They're too kind.

"You have my word, Mark." Answers Patrick. I look over to Gerard, who's smiling, like he knows what's happened.

"Same here," finally says Gerard.

So I begin telling them my story, at the very start. Just before I get to the part about the incident, Tyler comes and sits down next to us.

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late, the bus driver is a fucking granny!" he says. But I'm not listening as I type the rest of the story to Patrick and Gerard, telling them to delete it once their done. I see Gerard look down at his phone only to smile and glance at me. Something tells me roll call will be interesting.

JACKS POV

I walk into school and see Tyler, Dan and Phil sitting around our table.

"JACK!" Calls Tyler and Phil, who are making fun of my accent. Behind Tyler, I see Dan laughing his ass off at the two of them.

"Hi Jack, sorry about that. I dared them to do it earlier." Giggles Dan.

I smile to them and take a seat. They look at me with worry.

"Jack? Are you okay? Even though I have only known you a few days, I know that this is not happy you. If something's wrong, please tell us, and we can try to help." Tyler says and gives me a smile. But I can't tell anyone yet, maybe in a few days time. But for now I just want to deal with what happened alone. I hear the bell sound after a few more minutes and walk straight for roll call. I don't even wait for Phil.

MARKS POV

As we sit in roll call, Gerard can't stop smiling.

"Why won't you stop smiling, its kind of creepy." I ask.

"Well, a) you kissed someone and b) it was a boy! What wouldn't there be to smile at?" he answers.

"Yeah, but still, he could have taken it to the police and I will be arrested for something like sexual harassment!" I whisper shout. I look away from Gerard to stretch my neck, and I notice that Jack had walked in, taking a seat at a table with only one chair. I see Phil walk into the room next and try to sit next to Jack, but pulls out a chair and sits in the row in front of him.

"Mark, do you really think someone like Jack would do that? If anything I bet that he has a crush on you. We have English first and he's in my class. If you want I can try to talk to him about it?" he asks, and I nod, I want him to talk to Jack and know what he feels about me, once that happens I will wait until next week, when everyone from year 11 goes on the week long excursion. I'm not going because I have been before and Jack won't be able to go because he came here too late to pay and hand in money. It works out perfectly. The bell goes and I head to chemistry.

JACKS POV

I walk in and take a seat in English. Moments after, Gerard walks in and takes his seat next to me. I grab a pen and a book out of my bag and Gerard begins talking to me.

"So, how did Marks tutoring go yesterday?"He asks.

"How do you know that I was helping Mark with maths?"

"I'm Marks closest friend, and have known him since year one. He tells me everything." He replies.

"Oh, well then it was per-"

"I also know about how Mark kissed you." He said, cutting me off. Those words take me off guard and I can't hold back the tears that follow. The next thing I know is that I'm walking outside with Gerard's hand on my back. He sits me down so that I'm leaning on the brick wall of the classroom.

"It's okay Jack, shit like this happens. Can I ask you a question that I think I already know the answer to?" he asks quietly. I nod. "Do you like Mark, Jack?"

"Yeah, I do," I whisper.

"Then why are you crying Jack?" he asks.

"I-I don't know anymore. At first I thought it was happiness, because the person I like is gay. Then it's confusion. Then happy. I keep going back and forth with the emotions... I just don't know." I say crying even more.

Gerard puts a hand on my back and slides over a bit closer to me and whispers, "You're not going on the excursion next week, are you? Well neither are Mark nor I. Are all your friends going?" I nod to both of his questions."Well since it's literally just going to be us three-and the disabled kids-but don't worry about them-you can sit with us next week. How does that sound?"

"I'd love to, if you really don't mind." I say. It sounds much better than sitting alone for a whole week.

"I also think that Mark has wanted to talk to you, so it will be good for both of you." He says as the bell for next class rings.

I look at my timetable and see that I have a class that I haven't been to yet. Computer tech. This should be interesting.

I just hope Mark isn't in this class. It would be just too weird.

MARKS POV

Chemistry turned out to be a pretty boring lesson. Instead of the usual 10 minutes of notes, the rest a practical; it was all notes. The bell goes and I walk to the computer room, for computer tech. I walk in and I knew that I should have stayed home this morning.

As I walk in, I see Jack sitting at a logged on computer next to Phil, Felix and Dan, with the only available computer left next to him.
