MARKS POV

Sport is better than usual. Tyler got suspended for a week because he broke someone's nose, which is good because I don't have to put up with his bull shit. When the bell goes for home time, I only quickly stop to see Gerard and Patrick. Something doesn't feel right. They both feel awkward around each other, but they don't show it, so I ignore the tension.

"Hey Mark, shouldn't you be walking home so you can talk to a certain someone? Hmm." Says Patrick raising his eyebrows.

"Shut up, Patrick," I retort," But, yeah, I have got to get going."

I turn to walk away and I hear Gerard call out "You'll be fine Mark!"

I get home within twenty minutes and get changed into something comfortable. I choose a pair of baggy jeans and a white shirt. I hear a knock on the front door.

I hope that I can apologise enough for all the wrong I've done.

JACKS POV

I walk straight home and dump my shit on my bedroom floor. Then I just sit on my bed for a few minutes thinking about how this will go. I know this can go two ways. 1) He will apologise for what he has done, and then I tell him how I feel. Or 2) we just completely ignore that topic and work on our virtual reality game. I hope it's the first one.

I head across the road and knock on the door. After a few seconds no one had answered. They must be out, I think. I give it one final knock and this time Mark answers the door. He gives me a small smile and welcomes me in. He leads me to the lounge room and what I am greeted by an amazing sight. The room is white but with black lounges, fire place and 80" TV. He takes a seat and I sit in the chair opposite him.

"Hey," He says awkwardly.

"Hey," I reply. The tension in the room soars through the roof.

"There is probably no easy way to say this, so I'm just going to say it. I'm sorry Jack. So terribly sorry. I don't know what came over me, I ju-."

"Mark, it's okay. I know you wouldn't do that on purpose. No one would fall for me," I say the last part in a whisper, knowing that it was true. But he didn't need to know that.

"What was the last part?" he asked.

"It was nothing," I tell him

"Oh. Well in that case, I'm glad that you accept my apology. I guess we should start our I.T project. If you want?"

I smile and nod. We go to Mark's room and download all the software that we need to make a simple game.

MARKS POV

We don't even download half of the required apps and My 1 terabyte hard drive is full, mind you this is for a simple game, not something like Passportout.

"Shit," I mumble," sir should give us a fucking warning that it takes up a shit tonne of room. Sorry Jack, but I need to duck down the street and grab another hard drive. I can go now and be back in twenty minutes."

"Oh, there's no need to be in a rush. It's six thirty anyways, so I reckon they would be closed. How about you sort it out and I'll come over then?" He suggests.

"Yeah, OK, I'll drop into the computer shop tomorrow afternoon and grab it, that way I can download the rest of this crap quickly." I say.

I lead Jack down the hallway and to the front door. We step outside and I start to watch Jack walk home. But he stops and faces me.
