Hey Everyone! This was a confusing concept that I had to write about. So I guess a 6-degree story is when something is passed between strangers that they dont know. So i picked a ring that is passed between six people, but I'm not entirely sure if I got this story right. So I hope you like it anyway though! The Crystal Ring
I looked down at my hand, feeling like a brick fell off my shoulders. But instead of a brick and my shoulders, it was my ring and my hand. I jaw dropped and my air left my chest as I looked down at my naked hand. It held no ring on it.
I felt my heart drop when I looked at my fiancé. He purchased the ring that was worth 5 months of his salary. He would be crushed if he noticed it gone, but there was no hope of finding it now. . . .
I looked down as I noticed my foot standing on something shiny. I squinted down and picked up the silver ring that sat underneath my toes. The ring was held a crystal on its middle and I felt bad for whoever lost it. It looked expensive.
I put it into my pocket for safe keeping and went on my way to work. As I arrived at the small diner, I stuck my hand into my pocket to retrieve the ring to show my boss how expensive it looked. Maybe he’ll know how much it could be worth.
My hand search every corner of my pocket but the ring was now where in sight. It must have fallen out of the small hole in the bottom of the pocket. . . .
Whoa! A big shiny thing! I put my little grabby hand around the silver ring. It was so pretty how the sunlight glinted off of the little stone in the middle. I loved this new ring of mine.
I ran back inside to my mom and gave her the ring. I told her it was from me and that I loved her very much. She took it with a smile and slid it onto her finger. . . .
Oh no. . . I lost it. I lost the ring my own daughter gave to me. I looked everywhere for the little crystal stoned ring but I couldn’t find it anywhere.
I looked at my daughter, lying to her face saying that I put it away because it was so precious to me. . . I’m such a horrible parent. I just hope she’ll forgive me. . . .
I knew I should have given it back when I saw the ring fall from the women’s hand but I couldn’t. I couldn’t give up this expensive ring of hers. Living on the streets isn’t always easy, but this ring could change my life. This ring could get me food, water . . . a home.
I set it next to me as I sat down in front of the little shop, waiting for people to give me some pity. Joe, my best friend, came up to me in a fright. I looked behind him and a police officer was running down the street toward us. He’s after the ring.
I sat up and ran away with Joe, leaving my only hope to money behind me. . . .
Wow . . . a crystal ring. It held a silver band with a crystal stone attached to the very top. It was beautiful and I found it on the street, as if no one would want such a beautiful ring. I held it tight to me and walked home.
As I walked inside I greeted Spike, my dog. He looked up at me curiously and I held out my ring to him, showing off its glimmer. He turned his head to the side curiously and swallowed the ring. He looked up at me as if nothing happened as I looked down at him shocked. I loved this dog but could he please stop eating everything he sees?
