Caitlin's POV
As I'm going to Leilani's room feels like thousands of years have passed. I almost don't want to get there, but I did, eventually. I hesitate when I get in front of the door. You got this Cait, just open the door. Have confidence in your man, and if he's in there he's not worth your time. I grab the door knob and twist it, pushing forward as I turn it.
I feel my breath hitch as I close my eyes as I open it. My heart pounds rapidly, and I swear I'm experiencing heart palpitations. When the door is fully open I also open my eyes. There's definitely two other people in the room, on the bed, and one of them definitely has oh so recognizable curls. Luckily they were just making out, unluckily they were making out.
"J-jack," I push out.
The two pull apart and avert their attention towards me. Jack realizes it's me and shoots up from the bed.
"Cait?" He asks as if unsure it's actually me.
"Um, the rest of us are gonna head back, if you wanted to come," I tell him as calmly as I can.
I start to walk out of the bedroom, but not without seeing a slight smirk from Leilani. I then turn back around to face her.
"Oh and Leilani, I guess you really are the fake ass bitch that every pretends to like, and that you're as easy as they come," I say smirking back.
"EXCUSE ME?!" She asks.
I turn around and say "You heard what I said," flicking her off and walking out.
I reach down stairs proud at what I had told Leilani, but still broken about what I saw moment before.
"Where's Jack?" Lili asks.
"I think he's a little busy," I respond. "Let's just go," I say and start to head out.
They all follow behind me, then we hear someone start to call my name. I ignore it as it continues and begins to get closer. As Jack's about to reach me, Corbyn stops him.
"Listen, give her space and time. Talk to her later, got it?" Corbyn says.
Jack nods his head in agreement.
We all pile into the three cars we took here. I of course am in my car driving, but not with Jack in the car. We get to my house and head into the house. Before I can enter someone pulls me back.
"What Jack?" I say annoyed.
"I'm sorry," He says.
"Good for you," I reply.
"That's it?" He asks in shock.
"Well what do you want me to say, huh? 'Oh I totally forgive you for cheating on my AGAIN!' And I'm afraid if I say anything else I won't stop talking," I respond.
"Say it," He tells me.
"Say what?"
"Whatever," He says and scoffs.
"What the fuck are you mad about? Did I just cheat on you?"
"You're unbelievable," He says.
"Goodnight Jack," I say ending the conversation and walking inside.
...
We're supposed to be leaving today. Well, everyone else is leaving I think it's best that I stay here. When I walk downstairs everyone is scattered around eating or packing.
"Cait, What are you doing? We gotta leave soon," Peyton tells me.
"I'm not going," I tell her.
Everyone's heads turn towards me.
"Why do you mean?" She asks.
"I'm staying here, I think it's best that I do," I respond.
"Ummm no," She says.
"Pey I'm not comfortable being stuck with him on a tour bus for God knows how long," I say.
"Just ignore him," She suggests.
"You and I both know I can't do that," I say.
"Please?" She begs.
"I'm sorry but I can't," I say.
She just sighs and continues to pack.
...
They're all packed and ready to go. I wait by the door to say goodbye. Soon they're all bunched up in front of me ready to leave. I give everyone a hug goodbye, well except for Jack. They all start to head to the car, but Jack stops in front of the door.
"Cait?" He asks.
"What?" I ask looking down.
"I'm sorry," He repeats.
"Stop saying that!" I tell him.
"Why?"
"Because that's all you seem to be saying lately,"
"But I am sorry,"
"So, Sorry doesn't change that you went out to and made out with my friend. Wait, we're you even drunk?" I ask.
"I don't really remember," He says.
"Yes you do,"
"No I really don't. Matter of fact I don't even remember drinking at all,"
"Even better, you did this completely sober,"
"Babe-,"
"Stop, you lost the privilege to call me that the minute your lips touched hers," I say.
He moves towards to me, I back up.
"Cait, I don't know what happened," He confesses.
"Am I not good enough,"
"What? Of course you are,"
"If I'm so great then why would my boyfriend go out and cheat on me in a perfect state of mind?" Tears start to form at the brim of my eyes.
"Cait,"
"Why wasn't I good enough? What didn't I do? I thought we were doing great,"
"You didn't do anything wrong,"
"THEN WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!" I yell with tears coming out.
"I don't know, but please come with us," He asks.
"You already know I can't," I say.
"Please Cait," He begs.
"Why so you can just make me think that you're this great guy who's changed and make me fall in love again?"
He stays silent.
"No, our lives are NOT a fairytale, we don't always get a happily ever after, I am not a princess, and you are surely not my prince. You may be some big pop star, but I'm... I'm just average,"
And with that he just walked away in silence, while I watch the love of my life walk out the door.
Jack's POV
I just walked away in silence. She hates me, but I still love her deeply.
