Caitlin's POV

Great, just fucking great. Not again, why does this keep happening. Wait, stop Cait, you can trust Jack... right. What am I saying, of course I can, but can I trust Aspen, nope. Jack comes back from the bathroom and lies back down with me.

"Hey, whatcha lookin at?" Jack asks.

"Oh just some picture someone mentioned me in," I reply.

"Oh really? Is it an edit?"

"Not exactly," I respond and show him the picture.

His face frowns.

"You know I don't like her right?" Jack says.

"Yeah, it's just, she brings back bad memories," I say.

"You never know, we might not even see her, New York is a big City," he adds.

"I guess," I say not fully convinced.

(The next morning)

Jack's POV

I wake up with Caitlin beside me. Weird, I never wake up before her. I feel guilty again now that Aspen is in New York. I know Caitlin says she forgives me, but honestly, I don't think I forgive myself. Knowing that I hurt Caitlin makes me hate myself. She says she's past it all, but I still feel guilty. I'm gonna do more for her, let's get her breakfast.

I slowly slip away from Caitlin and change into different clothes. Right before I leave I go back and grab a key to the room, so Cait doesn't have to get up to let me back in. I put on my Docs and quietly walk out. As I'm waiting in the elevator I order an Uber to drive me to this café about 2 miles away. Once I reach the ground level it says my Uber is 3 minutes away, so I just wait in the lobby.

...

I get to the café and there's no line. I quickly scan their menu above and decide what to get. I walk up to the register and begin to order.

"Morning, can I get the double chocolate chip pancake combo, with the drink being salted caramel hot chocolate. And then the strawberry cream cheese crepes, and lastly two cream cheese turnovers," I order.

"Of course, that'll be 27.64," The lady behind the counter replies.

I insert my card and wait for the machine to process it. I then sign the pad.

"Alright, it'll be right out," She says handing me my receipt.

I turn around and bump into someone, Aspen.

"JACKY!" She shouts.

"Hi, Aspen," I reply.

She practically jumps onto me giving me a hug.

"How've you been? I've missed you so much? How's life?!" She asks in her annoying perky voice.

"I'm fine Aspen, life's great actually, I'm with Caitlin actually," I add and push her off.

Before she can say anything else, my order is called. I grab my bags and walk out, ignoring Aspen. Shit I don't have a ride back. I set down the food and motion for a taxi. Soon one notices and comes over.

...

I reach out room and unlock the door. I open the door to find Cait still asleep. Man she must be tired she never sleeps this long. I take the food out of the bag and place it on a tray that was sitting on the counter.

"Baaabe, wake up," I say softly shaky her gently.

She stirs around and yawns.

"Yes?" She asks in a small voice.

"I have breakfast," I tell her and go back to get the food.

"Food?!" She asks excitedly.

I set the food in front of her and her eyes widen.

"It's so beautiful," she whispers.

She was about to start eating but she stops herself. She then takes her phone off of the charger and takes a picture of the food. Once she's finished she starts digging in.

"Are you gonna eat, or just sit there watching me?" She asks with her mouth full.

I just laugh and grab a fork to join her.
