The sound of fresh eggs sizzling in the pan morning is satisfying. I take the spatula out of the drawer and prepare myself to flip the eggs over.

"Would you mind making me some as well?" a deep voice said near my ear, just as I was about to flip the eggs over. I startle a bit, letting out a small scream. The eggs flew in the air and stuck to the ceiling. I look up, staring at the eggs for a second. Those eggs are not coming off anytime soon.

"Looks like I'll have to make myself some." I looked at him, studying the human in front of me. I eye Gregg up and down, suddenly realizing he is shirtless. And I mean, his body looks quite good. It's not as if he has the body of a hulk, but it is in good shape that he does not look like a whale. Just slim and perfect. And who knew that there was a body like that under the shirt he was wearing. Don't be fooled by the glasses.

"Sorry," I said apologetically, returning to reality.

"It's not your fault. I shouldn't have crept up on you like that." Gregg said, walking towards the fridge.

"Lesson number 1. Never sneak up on a girl." I said confidently.

"Noted," he replied, taking two eggs out of the fridge and walking towards where I was still standing with the spatula in my hand.

"Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah. The couch is very comfortable. Thanks for asking."

"Why did you sleep on the couch? You know my brother is not here, right? You could've slept in his room."

"Neil would kill me if I slept in his bed. There is not a 'keep out or else' on his door for nothing."

"You're right."

"I wonder what kind of creatures he keeps in there while he's away," Gregg said disgustingly. I just shook my head with that statement. I turned around to look at the pan to see that the eggs were almost ready.

"Are you two ready?" the familiar high-pitched voice of my mother said. We both turned around to face her.

"We need to get to your parents," She stopped walking and looked up, noticing what was on the ceiling.

"You two better clean that up," She pointed to the mess and straightened her dress. "We're leaving in 10 minutes. Be ready." She said and left the room.

"Well, you heard her," I told Gregg, who switched off the stove. It's a morning of firsts for me. I never swallowed my breakfast as fast as I did this morning and tried to get an egg off the ceiling.

It took me precisely 10 minutes to get ready. Gregg had an advantage by not having anything with him except what he was already wearing. My dad helped him get his car going, leaving before we did. I am surprised my dad knew how to fix a car and get it going again, but I also think Gregg did most of the work.

Sheldon and Amy invited us to a Sunday lunch again. As I reached the 4th-floor landing, I walked toward their apartment door, knocked on it, and waited. No one answered. I knocked on the door again, twice this time. The door quickly swung open.

"Did you wait for me just to knock three times?" I asked Sheldon. He looked at me, shocked that I even asked such a question.

"No. Why on earth would I do that?" He asked. Sheldon closed the door once my mom and dad were also inside. I looked around the apartment and saw that most others were here except Gregg. As I went to sit down on the couch, there was another knock on the door.

"I'll get it. It's probably Gregg." I said, standing back up and making my way to the door again to answer it.

"Surprise!" was the first thing that came out of the mouth of the person on the other side as soon as I opened it. I stared at the figure in front of me.

"Aren't you gonna say hello to your brother?" Niel asked and entered the apartment.

"Yeah, sure. Hello Joel." I said. I could not understand what he was doing or how he got here. Just yesterday, he talked to me and said nothing about coming home.

"And that long face? Aren't you happy to see your younger brother?" my brother asked.

"I am. I'm just surprised to see you. You did not tell me you were coming when I talked to you yesterday," Everyone around us stood around us just staring, just as surprised.

"Wait, wait, wait. You didn't even tell your sister you're coming to visit?" Sheldon interrupted the conversation. "That's just plain rude. You always tell your sister when you're coming. What happened?" He wanted to know.

"Well," he began, looking toward our mom. She gave him a well-known look when she knew she was right.

"Mom told me to come home after I talked to you yesterday," He said and sat on the couch.

"The headmaster of YALE called and told her I was cheating on my tets again," he started, looking nervously past my frame.

"My punishment is coming home and staying with you while they go away for a week. Apparently, for work purposes." That last sentence shocked me. I did not even know my parents were leaving for work for an entire week. And on top of it, I need to spend it with my brother. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Gregg sneaking into the apartment through the door.

"Why do I need to stay with him? Why does he need to babysit me? Why can't he just stay with Gregg? Or even better, Raj?" I asked, looking around the room.

"Sorry, Halley. You have to count me out this time. I already have other plans." Raj said. I looked at him, and he smiled back at me. I knew why.

"Sorry, Halley, but your brother can't stay anywhere else. His punishment is to stay with you this weekend." My mom looked at me and shrugged her shoulders, indicating that the conversation was over. I sighed and took a seat on the couch next to Neil.

Everyone awkwardly gathered around the living room and waited for someone to say something other than Joel's scandal.

"Now that everyone is here, I have an important announcement to make," Aunt Amy said, standing awkwardly next to Sheldon and glancing up at him. The expression on his face went from normal to surprise. He was not ready for her announcement, nor did he know about it. The whole crowd had its attention on her.

"I'm pregnant."
