Chapter 4:
What was that? John was never likethat. I really thought he was different.
"Bea?" Ava called from outside my door. She opened it and said "I really need you."
Oh my god. I had completely forgotten that Mom found out today. "Coming."
This really was not the time to be worrying about Ava and Mom.
"Bea, did you know about this?" my mom said.
"Yeah, I did."
"Why didn't you tell me?!?" she cried.
"This is why! You go crazy and you blame stuff on everybody but yourself! If I were Ava I wouldn't want to tell you either! You're a crazy woman. I love you, but you over-exaggerate every single thing!" I started sobbing.
"Bea, calm down." Ava said.
I ran up to my room, leaving a stunned mother and her helpless daughter. Once in my room, I sobbed my heart out. I didn't stop until someone walked into my room along with my mom and Ava. Was that Jake?
"Bea, this boy says he knows you. Should I let him in or call the cops?" My mom said quietly.
"No, no, I know him."
My mom and Ava left the room. I just stared at Jake. But this time, he didn't smirk back. He gave me a sympathetic look, telling me I should let him help me. So I did.
It wasn't long before I was sobbing onto his shoulder. His hug felt so weird, but it felt so right.
We talked for almost four hours until he left. That night I didn't sleep at all. Luckily, neither did Ava. We had a pity party that entire night. And the next day, I didn't feel like going to school either.
At least it was Friday, so I could have a normal weekend at home. Well, I thought it would be normal.
