Chapter 7:

"Well, hello! Who are you and why are you shirtless?"

Jake pulled back. "I'm Jake and I don't know why I'm shirtless. Sorry."

"No, that's fine!" Ava said greedily. "I will come back later, then."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Bea, about that. It was-" Jake said.

"I'm sorry, I, I just-"

"You should have let me finish. I was going to say 'It was amazing.'" I blushed as he sat us down on my bed.

Yes. I fell asleep to the rhythm of Jake's heart and the soft movement of his breathing. For once, I felt like I didn't have anything to worry about.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up with something wrapped around my waist. I slowly looked up and saw Jake still asleep with his arm wrapped around me. I tried to lift it and he started to stir. Luckily, he didn't wake up. I slipped out from his grip and started for the bathroom.

Once I stepped out of the shower, dried my hair, and got dressed, I headed back to my room, where Jake was. I found him awake, sitting on my bed, looking out the window. Mocking him from his earlier days, I said, "Hey babe." with a smirk on my face.

"Hey babe." he said back to me with his all too familiar smirk plastered on his face. "Wanna skip?"

"What?"

"You know. Ditch. School?"

"Oh. Yeah. Um, sure, why not? We already skipped the first three hours."

A chuckle escaped his lips.

"What do you want to do?" I asked.

"Let's just talk."

"What about?"l asked

"Us."

He looked down at the bed.

"Sure." I said with a smile.

We eventually ended up talking for three hours. We both had spilled about how we felt. When It got silent I looked up and he was already staring at me. I looked into those beautiful blue eyes that didn't really match his dark hair, but sure were cute. I got that feeling that I had had right before we kissed. That kind of tingly feeling.

He looked straight back into my sort of bluish-green eyes and I blushed. We slowly leaned in, when Ava walked in.

"Well, hello again, Jake. I thought you would be gone by now." Ava excitedly blurted.

"Jesus, Ava, why are you here? You should be in school!" I said, surprised.

"Because Sarah and Trish are coming in today."

"Who are Sarah and Trish?" Jake whispered.

"My two older sisters. They are both in college. They go to Berkley."

"How old are they?" Jake sounded somewhat interested in my life.

"Sarah is 20 and Trish is 22."

"Is it just me, or was there some pattern to the birthing in your family?" Jake asked with that same smirk.

"Ew! You're so weird." I screamed while playfully pushing him over. He pulled me down with him, and now I was hovering over him. If I leaned in, I could close the space between us. Good thinking, Bea.

So, I did. I let the weight in my feet drop, then my legs, stomach, chest, arms, and lastly, my head. We slowly kissed, and I was instantly reminded of that feeling I got just last night.

"Um, hey lovebirds! I'm still in here! At least let me get out before you get laid for the first time, Bea." Ava said with a giggle, and skipped away. Bitch.

Jake pulled back, and laughed. "You're a virgin? Never in a million years would I have thought that. Did John not let you?"

"He just wasn't the right person, I guess." I said, embarrassed.

"Am I the right person?" Jake asked with that infamous smirk.

"Maybe," I replied. "Maybe not. But certainly not at ten in the morning."
